The past week was filled with nothing but stress, deadlines, and petty arguments with everyone around me - including my boyfriend Jack. We decided that we needed a day to just kick back and relax, turn off our phones, and just spend quality time together. We were headed off to the beach, and even had a small picnic ready. Today was going to be all about us, no interruptions, no arguments.

"Babe, you ready?" Jack asked walking into our shared bedroom. I was finishing brushing out my hair, and he smiled at me. I nodded, and he grabbed my hand and we walked out of the house together.

"How chivalrous of you," I smirked as he held open the door for me.

"What can I say," he chuckled and climbed into the drivers seat. The ride to our favorite spot on the beach was nothing but relaxing. We passed miles of the seaside, and the sun was hanging high in the sky promising perfect weather all day long. I was beginning to think that there was absolutely nothing that could go wrong. Jack's angelic voice sang along to the music that flowed out of the speakers, and I couldn't help but smile at him, and take in all of his glorious features. Occasionally he would glance over at me, sending a wink my way and causing me to blush.

"It's been too long," I sighed happily as we took our place on the soft, white sand.

"We were here two weeks ago," he laughed.

"Exactly, we should just come here everyday," I looked out at the turquoise water and felt his arm slip around me.

"It's so quiet and peaceful," he said causing me to nod in agreement. This was our favorite spot because it was always so placid. There weren't very many people that came down this far, and the water was clear and glittered. "Let's go swim," he said pulling me up. I stripped out of my swim suit cover, and followed him into the water. I squealed from the water temperature, and of course he took it upon himself to splash me.

"Don't!" I yelled trying not to laugh. Within seconds we were in an all out splash war, and I was shivering from the coolness of the water. "Jack," I whined and he chuckled.

"Okay, no more," he said grabbing my hand and pulling him over to me. He held me for a little while my body adjusted to the water, and without warning he tackled me and pushed me under. I came back up to the surface and gasped loudly punching him in the arm.

"What was that for?" I asked causing him to grin wickedly.

"No reason," he shrugged.

We stayed out in the water for a little while longer, dunking each other, talking, and he would sneak gentle kisses when I was least expecting it. Later on we retreated back to our towels, and the tapestry I was using as a blanket. We broke into our food, and I accidentally caused him to drop his sandwhich into the sand, which led him to steal half of mine.

"We should do this every Saturday," he said while we looked up at the clouds in the sky.

"What about the Saturday's when you're not here?" I asked looking over at him.

"We'll figure something out," he grinned and looked over at me. "But I'm here now, and that's all that matters."
