Hey guys, sorry if this seems kind of short. I had to write it on my phone, and I really have to finish the imagines before Christmas, which I knew I wrote a note about how I wouldn't be able to finish but I'm making it my goal to finish them. So I hope you enjoy! 😋

"Did you set the timer?" I asked my boyfriend Matt who was sitting on the countertop. He looked up at me from his phone, and I knew he hadn't heard a word that I had said.

"What?" He asked as a small grin tugged at the corners of his lips. I glared at him. "What'd you say?" He laughed.

"I said, did you start the timer?" I looked at him and he raised an eyebrow.

"On what?" He asked still confused.

"The oven!" I shouted starting to get agitated--I had told him three times to set the timer for ten minutes. Of course he toned me out, he did it purposely to annoy me and it worked every time.

"When did you ask me to do that?" He asked sending me over the edge.

"I asked you three times! Why do you never listen to me?" I yelled as I wrung out my soaking wet hair with a towel. He chuckled lightly causing me to grow even more angry.

"Yes, I set it, lighten up," he grinned at me and I glared at him. I loved him but he knew how to get under my skin. Normally I wouldn't have let it bother me, but it was Christmas Eve and so many of our friends were coming over to the house. Matt and I, and when I say that I mean I practically spent all day preparing food. "Go finish getting ready I'll take care of it," he hopped off of the counter and kissed my forehead. His kisses always made me feel weak despite how I annoyed I was with him. I looked at him and his brown eyes sparkled. I nodded and walked back into the bathroom to finish getting ready.

I dried my hair, curled and styled it. I put on a simple black dress with a pair of black heels and walked off to grab the necessary makeup items that I knew I would need. My look consisted of classic eyeliner, dark red lips, slightly rosy cheeks, and defined cheekbones. While I was finishing up I heard a beeping noise go off. I ignored it at first and spritzed on a little perfume. I heard someone yell and my eyes grew wide.

"Babe! Help!" I heard Matt yell. I rushed out of the bathroom and ran down the hall to the kitchen. The smoke detectors were all going off simultaneously nearly deafening me. Matt was holding a kitchen towel fanning smoke. "I have no idea what happened!" He yelled over the screeching smoke detectors.

"Oh my god!" I screamed. I grabbed a second towel and walked over to the oven where Matt was. Together we attempted-but failed-to fan the smoke. I began to cough and we were both yelling. "What do we do?" I screamed.
"I don't know!" He yelled back. He opened the oven and both of our eyes grew wide when we saw the cookie sheet engulfed in flames. "It's on fire! What do we do?" He threw down his towel and walked over to the cabinet to get a cup. He started to fill it with water.

"What are you doing?"

"Water puts out fire, duh," he said shutting off the steady flow of sink water.

"The stove is electric idiot, that will make it worse!" I yelled. The flames seemed to be growing more and more intense and it dawned on me that I should close the door and turn the oven off. "It's not going away!"

"What's going on?" I heard someone say. I turned around and saw a few of our friends standing in the kitchen.

"Matt caught the oven on fire," I quickly blamed. Matt's eyes grew wide. I had only then realized the oven was still on fire.

"What? Me?" Matt yelled defensively.

"Just shut up and help me get it out," I said panicking. Gilinsky rummaged through the cabinets and pulled out a bright red fire extinguisher. He had the fire out in no time.

"You guys have the worst survival skills I've ever seen," he chuckled. I sighed and Matt wrapped his arm around my waist. Jack pulled out the scorched pan from the oven and we all looked at it. "Something tells me we won't be eating these," he smirked.

"We're never having a Christmas party again," I shook my head still completely baffled. My face was warm from the intensity of the flames, and adrenaline was still rushing through my veins. Matt nodded. "Gilinsky, party at your house next year."

"Okay but you fire hazards aren't cooking," he joked causing a stir of laughter.

Later on we had all migrated to the living room and we were all cracking jokes. They always knew how to bring out the most obnoxious laugh I had buried deep inside myself. There was never a dull moment in any of the stories that any of them told.

"Hey, babe, come here," Matt tapped me on the shoulder. I sat down my drink and followed him into the dining room. "I feel bad because I nearly burnt the house down, so I want to give you a present early..." he pulled a box from his pocket and handed it to me. I smiled as I examined the glittering silver box that was polished with a silky white bow. I wondered what it could have held inside.

I carefully opened the box to reveal a dazzling bracelet. "Oh, Matt," I said in utter awe. It was beautiful and glimmered in the light. "It's beautiful."

"Do you like it?" He smiled hopefully.

"I love it, thank you so much." I held the box close to me and kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier," I blushed.

"It's okay, I probably deserved it," he flashed a quick grin. "I love you anyway," he gave me a quick--yet romantic kiss on the lips. We stood there quietly while we both admired the bracelet. "You know we're going to have to buy another stove," Matt said finally.
