Sooooo I've mentioned this upcoming story that I've been working on "Arizona" and I've shared the prologue a couple times. I'm pretty excited for it and I know that it will be published after Christmas for sure, I'm just not sure on the exact date. But I want to go ahead and give you a little preview for it, and hopefully this makes you as excited as I am 😋 enjoy!

"Pull over here," she said pointing to a large patch of dirt next to the road. I nodded and slowed down and moved over. Once I turned off the car she jumped in the back. "Come here," she said. I got up and crawled back to where she was. She was grinning as she opened a bag and she pulled out a lighter. "Hold this."

"What are you doing?" I asked raising my eyebrows in suspicion.

"Having fun," she smiled and pulled out a blunt. My eyes grew large as she lit it up.

"Are you crazy? A cop could come by at any time. This is illegal!" I snatched it from her hands and she giggled. "It's not funny, we could get arrested."

"It's fine," she grabbed it back from my hands and I sighed shaking my head disapprovingly. "What?"

"Why do you do stuff like this?"

"Stuff like what?" She breathed out smoke and coughed a little.

"Crazy, and impulsive things!" I yelled running my hands through my hair.

She sighed and took another hit before she looked at me. "Yeah, what I do may seem impulsive and crazy to you...but to me it's fun. You get one life to live, and it's other extraordinary or something that no one is going to remember at all. I'd rather act on my impulse and do the first thing that comes to my mind, otherwise I would wake up everyday regretting that I didn't do the things I wanted to." She shrugged her shoulders and took another hit. "So what if I dye my hair a random color, sell my car for this old bus, get tattoos wherever the hell I feel like it. And so what if I plan a random road trip and tell you two days before? And really, so what if I'm in the back of some old bus in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road getting high? It's something that I wanted, and if it's something you really want then you won't regret it."

"You are by far the craziest person I've ever met," I shook my head and smiled.

"That's a title I'll wear proudly," she giggled. "Now live it up," she passed me the blunt and applauded me when I took a hit. There I was in the back of an old bus surrounding by star fruit scented blankets and getting high with Arizona. It was in that moment that I realized that it wasn't just a crush anymore.
