So sorry these seem so short, but I didn't have too many ideas for these two imagines so I combined them. Carter's is first and then Hayes. Enjoy!

CARTER:

It was the week before Christmas and somehow my boyfriend Carter had managed to talk me into going to his family's house for Christmas. I agreed, but the truth of the matter was that I felt like his mother didn't like me. I had never done anything to not make her like me, but that was always the vibe I seemed to get it from her. Of course Carter called me crazy and always tried to assure that she loved me and loved having me around.

We walked silently up to the door and I gave him a worried look. "Don't worry, everything is going to be fine." He gave me a reassuring smile and kissed my forehead. He was right--what was the worst that could happen? As long as I was respectful and tried my best to help she would see that I was showing an effort and possibly cut me a little slack. I heaved a heavy sigh and he turned the knob to the door. He walked in before me and I shut the door gently. "Mom! I'm home!" He yelled. His mother came rushing around the corner and gave her son a long and loving hug. "Hey, mom," he smiled. "You remember Y/N," he gestured towards me. She looked at me blankly and I felt a knot in my stomach.

"Hi, Mrs. Reynolds," I spoke softly and afraid that she would throw me out of her house.

"Do you want to help with dinner?" She asked Carter. I saw a small smile form across his lips.

"Actually, why don't you have Y/N help you? It could be a great chance for the two of you to bond, and I'm sure she'll be happy to help you," he smiled and looked at me. My eyes grew wide. What was he doing? I smiled nervously at her. She nodded and walked back into the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" I looked at him and he chuckled. "Carter, the woman hates me are you crazy?"

"She doesn't hate you, she just needs to get to know you," he kissed my forehead. He took my things and walked upstairs leaving me to walk into the kitchen by myself.

"Can I help you with anything?" I asked nervously.

"You can stir this," she said pointing to a large pan. I nodded and walked over and slowly started stirring making sure the noodles didn't stick to the bottom of the pan. The kitchen was silent and incredibly awkward. "I heard what you said," she said finally. "I don't hate you--I just worry about my son. You seem like a fine young girl and you make my son very happy, but I worry about him sometimes. He has a lot going on in his life and I'm afraid of him getting hurt."

"I understand," I looked at her. "I would never hurt your son, I love him and I'll support him through whatever," she gave a warm smile and nodded.

"So would you like to try again?" She asked and I nodded and grinned.

HAYES:

"Hayes, there's so much snow on the ground," I said staring out of the window. Fresh snow had fallen and coated very aspect of the ground. The snow glistened in the warm sun and it looked so inviting. "We should go outside."

"Aw, man but this is a good movie!" He whined before taking a sip of his hot chocolate. I rolled my eyes.

"Just come on," I said jumping on the gray couch beside him. He nearly spilt the hot beverage all over himself and he glared at me. "Please, it'll be fun," I stuck out my lower lip knowing very well that he could never say no.

"Okay," he sighed. I squealed and jumped up to throw on my coat, shoes, and snow wear. I finished putting on my last glove by the time Hayes had finally stood up from the couch. I was completely bundled up which earned a laugh from him. "You look ridiculous," he chuckled while sliding on his coat. He finished getting ready and I rushed out the door and was immediately greeted with a rush of the cold, brisk air. Hayes' tan skin immediately turned a rosy pink in his cheek area and his nose was a soft red color. He shivered a little. The snow was up to my mid calf and I couldn't have been more excited.

"We should build a snowman," I shouted excitedly.

"Or," he bent down and picked up a hand full of snow and packed it together. He tossed it at me and it smacked up against the front of my coat. "We could have a snowball fight," he smirked. I glared at him.

"You're on," I said confidently. We walked to separate sides of the year and I began compacting the snow together to build a small fort. I pre-made snowballs and ranged them in different sizes. My strategy was to make him that I was weak and defenseless and then come back with a raging fury and throw the snow at him until he cried. Well, maybe I wasn't going to be that mean, but I was going to win. I felt something hit my back. I turned around and saw him grinning from across the way. I gritted my teeth and ducked the next time he went to throw.

I waited patiently and threw the smallest one that I had. I heard him chuckle. "You sounded so confident, what happened?" He shouted. I rolled my eyes and tried not to reveal a mischievous smirk.

Soon it was an all out war and my snowballs started growing with each throw. I picked up about three and when he wasn't looking I started chucking them left and right. They grew in size and he was being pelted with him in the back. I heard him yell and on the seventh impact he ducked down and tripped over his own feet.

"Okay, okay you win," he yelled shielding himself with his hands. I stood up and cheered in victory. I giggled and walked over to him.

"Aw, you sounded so confident, what happened?" I mocked him. He was trying not to smile. I helped him up and did a victory dance to rub it in his face. He dusted the snow off of himself.

"Yeah, yeah shut up," he groaned.

"Okay since I won," I grinned and licked my bottom lip. "You can build a snowman with me," he whined and threw his head back. "You have to, I won."

"Alright, fine but after this we're watching a movie and taking a break from the cold," he kissed my cheek.
