I sat the the dinner table reading a book My mother Evangeline and Cook sat on the other side of the table having a cup of tea and a long conversation about Cook's rules in the kitchen which I payed no attention too

I've known the brown family my whole life they were your topical crazy family well not your topical one only where you would read in a story book but when Nanny McPhee came she sorted out the children and I'm thankful for that she made them into kind and behaved kids
"Y/n dear would you make sure the children are getting ready for bed"My mother Calls grabbing my attention
"Yes mum"I put my book down on the table and walk up the stairs I hear the loud shouts and banging from the play room
I open the door seeing the children messing and playing around except for Simon who was sitting on the window sill
"Eric give it back!"Chrissie shouts trying to get the doll from her older brother
"Eric don't be so mean"I say taking the stuffed animal out his hands giving it to Chrissie
"Now you guys should be getting ready for bed"I pick up Aggy holding her on my hip
"Are you putting us to bed Y/n?"Sebastian asks clinging to my leg
"If you want me to"he nods frantically
"Yes!,please Y/n please take us to bed"All but Simon and Aggy shout
"Oh all right come on then"They all run out the room heading to their bed
"Are you coming Simon?"I ask as he's still sitting at the window sill and I'm still holding Aggy on my hip
"You're not my mother I can do what I like"he grumbles clearly in a bad mood I sigh
"I know you've told me a million times but you really need to get some rest for the wedding tomorrow"
"I'll go when I want with out anybody telling me what to do,especially you"he hisses I look down
"Okay Simon"I mumble sadly walking out the room
I've always loved Simon since the day I understood what Love meant he's usually really nice but since his dad and my mum have decided to get married he's been quite mean and annoyed at me all of a sudden I mean I get it I guess it's quite a weird situation we're in well to me anyway I technically love my soon to be step brother wow this is weird that is weird okay let's forget we even had this conversation
