I had watched the world burn before me.
Leaving me to grieve.
Upon the soil we have soiled.
Upon the hills we have decimated.
All for the sake of freedom.
But are we free? Hm.
Last time I checked, the lives of children were precious and pure.
Not the root of a bargaining chip.
I watched as the stars began to explode.
I watched as our world began to implode.
All with the thoughts of a better life.
A new life.
A life full of lies and rope ties that bound us to the dirt as our founding fathers beat us with whips for proclaiming that everyone is equal.
And that everyone is beautiful.
We were the slaves that carried over good fortune.
Only to be beat out of misfortune.
I watched as planes crashed.
Women are trashed.
Even the men that want to be named the name of a woman cannot be respected.
And the women that want to be men are slandered and called out upon others' beliefs.
I watched as the politicians kept spending money on what the world never needs.
There is no cure for cancer yet.
But there is a place where politicians can go on vacation, thanks to congress.
We awaited progress while the preachers confessed and the children suppressed whatever thought they were thinking.
Because their true feelings had no meanings to the adults who lived their lives for them.
I watched as the world fell apart.
I watched them burn the art that had gained meanings for years to the masses.
Interrupting classes and the horns made of brass sang out the cheers of millions and the cries of billions.
I watched that the world fell into hell.
And it took me with it.

Words.
PoetryThis is a book I write in to relieve my mind of the horror it creates for itself. Poems or not, they're words. Definitions or examples, they're words. My words. Read it or not, they're my words.
