A Wise Man

A wise man once told me- "sweetheart, you never ever want to get cozy."

Let the world keep you on your toes because in a place like this, anything goes and no body knows when the next show will show it when the bombs are going to blow it when the heart stops wanting more.

A wise man once said- "have pride showing in your eyes."

But as I look up to the sky I see the reasons why children cry and innocent men let the bullet catch up with them and maybe, just maybe, it's the fault of the men. Maybe they built the same fence that caged them in.

A wise man once told me- "don't bite the hands that feed you."

But those same hands are make sure I can't move. Those are the same hands that prove that there might not be a god. Even when I believe, those hands see it as odd.

A wise man once asked me- "my child, who hurt you?"

I didn't have an answer. I told the man "myself" but he wouldn't accept that. If only I had listened to my friend. I wouldn't never called back.

He could push me out of a window and I'd say sorry. She could beat me until I bled tears and I will apologize because that one man that told me all of those things was wise.

I let my heart restart and now all I want to do is depart because why fall in love when you can't love yourself?
