I opened my eyes and saw that I was back in my ancient village. The one where everything started.

"(y/n) we need help," said my brother Cassius. I followed him, unsure what I found myself into. A dream, a memory, a vision? He brought me to a tent where my sister Esther was giving birth. Without hesitating I began helping her go into labor. After long, hectic hours, the baby finally came out. I wrapped him in a towel and brought him back to my sister.

"What are you going to name him?" I questioned, giving my nephew back.

"Hmm, Niklaus." At the name I froze.

"You'll take care of him for me right (y/n)?" Esther looked at me. "You know I can't, he's a bastard."

She held up the baby but I staggered back.

"No no, I'm not taking him in."

"But he's just a baby (y/n) he can't hurt you," she looked at her child soothingly, "can you Klaus?"

I ran out of the tent and there in front of me stood Klaus, a young kid, blood smeared all over him. In his hand, a still beating heart.

"I'm coming for you auntie, all of us, Elijah, Kol and Rebekah." I shook my head.

"WE'RE COMING FOR YOU," he screamed as he lunged at me-

I woke up in a sweat, gasping for air. It was just a nightmare. Was it? It felt like... a warning. Suddenly a knock on my door snapped me out my thoughts.

I got up, a knife in my hand. I swung the door open to reveal Stiles in his pajamas. he looked shaken up and his hair was all frizzy. He had a pillow in his hand.

"Are you real?" his little voice asked.

"Am I- Wha- Stiles- yes of course I'm real."

He rubbed his eyes and looked past me, "I'm so sorry, I've been having these horrible nightmares ever since- and I'm so scared. I didn't know what to do or who to call so here I am."

"Oh."

"I'll just go then, I'm so sorry-"

"No Stiles it's fine, come in." I motioned for him to come in, lowering the barrier. He came in and I closed the door, locking it safely. I brought him to my bed and gave him a cup of tea.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I proposed gently.

"Can- can I lie down?" he said turning to the bed. I bit my lip and told him that this was his house too. He smiled at the comment.

I laid down besides him and he started to tell me about how he couldn't sleep. How he kept seeing the tree, and that the letters kept rearranging themselves.

"Do you want a hug?" I suggested. He stared at the ceiling, thoughtful.

"Yes please," he finally said softly.

I inched closer and pulled him in. His heart skipped a beat and his breath hitched but I knew he felt safe. I felt him relaxing in my arms and I felt his eyes on mine,

"(y/n) I'm sorry I acted like that. It wasn't fair of me. You did what you thought was best for us."

"I'm sorry I should've-"

"No this isn't your apology. I'm so sorry for being a dick-"

I silenced him with a kiss. He looked surprise at first but he melted into it, tucking my hair back behind my ear. He pulled away to breathe,
