A New Life on a New Earth

Chapter 5

Kara decided that she could really use a break and she knew that Alex needed to get out of the city as well because of the fact that she and Maggie had just broken up. Kara had just had to stop a group that was like a cult from worshipping her because they had been saved by her. She found out that these people would put themselves in danger just to be saved by her and that would allow them to be a part of the cult. She just didn't understand why people would do that to themselves, because there might be a time when she couldn't get there in time to save the person.

She decided that it would be good to visit her foster mother for a few days and it would get her mind off of things and it will also give Alex sometime to grieve her relationship in the peace of her old childhood home with her mother.

"Oliver. Alex and I are taking a trip to Midvale for a couple of days. I just need to rest my mind and Alex needs to go because of just breaking up with Maggie." Kara said.

"I understand. You need to be at one hundred percent and if this helps you get there then you need to go." Oliver said.

"Actually, I was talking to Eliza when I told her that we were coming, and she said for you and Thea to come as well. I don't know what it is but there is something about Thea that just makes Alex lighten up a bit, even when she is in the mood she is in right now and of course you keep me in a good mood as well." Kara said.

"I haven't been on a vacation in a long time. It will probably be a good thing for me to go, because I am trying to do things different now then I used to. I want to be a better person and I think you make me that way." Oliver said.

"I am sure Felicity made you into a good person. I am sure Laurel did as well." Kara said.

"Laurel always saw the best in me even when no one else did. Felicity did try to make me into a better person and for the most part it worked. It just felt like she was forcing it on me sometimes is all." Oliver said.

"So, we will leave in a hour. If it is ok though, can you and Thea right your motorcycles. It might be a little cramp for four people in J'onn's car." Kara said.

"We can do that. I will tell Thea to get ready." Oliver said as he went to tell Thea what was going on.

Later that day Kara pulled into the driveway of the Danvers house and was followed shortly after by Oliver and Thea. They got off of their motorcycles and went to help unload the car of the luggage that all four of them had brought. Once everything was inside everyone got to the introductions.

"Eliza. This is Oliver and Thea Queen, they moved her from Earth 1." Kara said.

"So, how is it you decided to come to this earth?" Eliza asked.

"Well, that's a complicated story. My friend Barry breached to this earth one time by accident, and he met Kara. Last year we had an alien invasion and Barry got Kara to come and help us. That is when we met Kara. The real reason why I am here though is because on my earth the FBI was trying to arrest me for being a vigilante and I had to make a deal with them in order to stop the bad guy that we were going up against. I decided that I couldn't go to prison, so I faked my death and came here, and Kara was gracious enough to give me a place to stay." Oliver said.

"And you Thea?" Eliza asked.

"Well, I was off destroying what are known as Lazarus Pits, they have to power to heal any injury, and I heard that my brother was dead. I was grieving him when all of a sudden, he showed up and he asked if I wanted to come here with him. I said yes, because he is the only family that I have left." Thea said.

"Well, it is nice to have you both here. I will show you to your room now." Eliza said as she led Oliver and Thea up to the spare bedroom that had two bed.

They all had a great day together and as Kara said earlier, Thea was starting to get Alex out of her funk a little bit. It probably had to do with Thea always being able to brighten things up in the room with her personality. Kara and Oliver decide to take a walk around the property and just be with each other for a while.

"So, is everything going the way that you hoped it would by coming here?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, I am nice and relaxed, and Thea seems to be getting Alex to loosen up a bit." Kara said.

"I don't know what it is about Thea, but she does have a way of doing that." Oliver said.

"She just has one of those personalities that people just can't help but love." Kara said.

"You are the same way Kara. I recognized it the first time that we met. I didn't want to admit it at the time because we were in the middle of an invasion, but you just bring everyone's spirit up." Oliver said.

"Well, I appreciate that. So, we will be going to Barry and Caitlin's wedding in a few weeks. Are you ready?" Kara asked.

"As ready as I will ever be. I just don't know who to go as yet." Oliver said.

"Well, you can go as Mon-El. As far as everyone on Earth 1 knows, we are still together." Kara said.

"I don't know. That might be a little bit weird." Oliver said.

"You are probably right. Who do you have in mind?" Kara asked.

"I don't know yet, but I will figure something out." Oliver said.

They walked back to the house and they all played a few hands of cards before they decided to call it a night. The next few days consisted of pretty much the same thing as they did on their first day in Midvale. Walks around the property. Thea keeping Alex company and making sure that she was in a decent mood for most of the trip.

Once Sunday arrived it was time for the group to head back to National City. Everyone was very refreshed, and they all seemed to be in a very good mindset right now. They were late getting back to the city because they wanted to spend as much of the day in Midvale as possible because they knew that this was going to be one of the last vacations that they would get for a while. So, once they arrived back home from their trip they decided to go to sleep because they would be back to work the next day.

A/N: Should I just go with someone generic for Oliver and Thea to go to Barry's wedding or should it be someone that we know from Arrow that might be dead (Like Tommy or someone like that?). Let me know who you think Oliver and Thea should disguise themselves as for Barry's wedding. Thanks.
