A New Life on a New Earth

Chapter 48

Oliver and Kara were now back from their honeymoon and were now sitting with Cat Grant who they had told they were Green Arrow and Supergirl. She told them that she already knew who they were saying that she wouldn't be a good reporter if she wasn't able to figure that kind of stuff out. Now they were trying to figure out the best way for them to release their identities to the world.

"Are you sure you want to do this Kara?" Cat asked.

"Yes, Mrs. Grant. It is the only way that I will be able to live my most authentic life. Wait. What did you just call me?" Kara asked.

"Is your name not Kara?" Cat asked.

"It is, but you have never called me that before." Kara said.

"Yeah, that is just my way of having fun with my assistants. I always knew that I was calling you by the wrong name." Cat said with a smile.

"Good to know. So, do you have an idea of how to get this out there to the world?" Kara asked.

"I do. I want to do a live interview with the two of you. We will announce it then." Cat said.

"Sounds good. When do you want to do this interview?" Oliver asked.

"How about tomorrow? I will set it up and we will do this at 6:00 pm so that most people will be home from work by then." Cat said.

"Sounds good. I had better get to work. See you at home Kara." Oliver said as he left to go to work.

"Damn, you are a lucky woman Kara. I think anyone would give anything to be with your husband." Cat said.

"I am sure they would and from what I have heard about his past, most women would probably have a chance." Kara said.

"You mean he used to sleep around?" Cat asked.

"That is coming from him. He told me that before he went through what turned him into the Green Arrow, he wasn't really a good man." Kara said.

"Well, I can definitely see that he has changed from that person. He only has eyes for you. Anyone can see that. When people figure out that you are Supergirl, there is no way that anyone will try to mess with him. They know that you will take care of them if they do." Cat said.

"That is true. So, the rest of the team knows that they will probably be outed as well, so do you want them here as well?" Kara asked.

"If they want to become public, sure." Cat said.

"Ok. We will talk to them tonight and see what everyone else wants to do." Kara said.

"Well, get to work Kara. You have a new job to get started with." Cat said and Kara knew that she was just told to leave her mentor's office.

The next day Oliver and Kara were at Catco waiting for the rest of their team to show up so that they could do this interview and announce themselves to the world. It would start off with just Oliver and Kara since Cat was going to ask other questions first and then she would make her way to the big story at the end of the interview.

"So, Oliver and Kara, you have been together for a while now. How does it feel to finally be married?" Cat asked.

"Great. We have been working our way to this point for a long time now. We couldn't be happier." Kara said.

"That is good. So Kara, you are now the editor and chief here at Catco. How does it feel to have that kind of important job after so long with the company?" Cat asked.

"I am happy that I have been able to move my way up in this company. It was always my dream to work here and the day that you hired me was one of the happiest days of my life." Kara said.

"Oliver, you work at LCorp and are right up under Lena Luthor herself. How does it feel to work for a Luthor, even though she is nothing like the rest of her family?" Cat asked.

"I enjoy working there. You are right. Lena is nothing like her family. If she was, I don't think that I could work there, but as it is, we are doing good things at LCorp and I couldn't be more proud to be associated with that company." Oliver said.

"Good. So, there is a reason that you wanted to do this interview. Go ahead and tell us what that is." Cat said as she looked at the heroes.

"I think it might work better if we just show you." Oliver said as Kara took off her glasses and thought about her suit and Oliver thought about his suit as well and their suits appeared out of nowhere and everyone was stunned other than Cat, who was just smiling.

"So, you are Green Arrow and Supergirl. Why expose yourselves?" Cat asked.

"It was more for me. I hate having to live a lie, so the rest of the team said they were ok with me exposing myself and I talked to Oliver about it and we knew that if I did this that he would have to as well, because people would figure it out that he was Green Arrow, so we decided to do it together." Kara said.

"Well, I am glad to be the one who broke this news. Anything else?" Cat asked.

"Our teammates would like to announce who they are as well." Oliver said and Cat smiled.

"Ok. Announce your team Kara." Cat said.

"Ok, first we have Sentinel, who is my sister Alex Danvers. Second, we have Artemis, who is Oliver's sister, Thea Queen. Then we have Red Arrow, who is Emiko Queen. White Canary, who is Sara Lance. Black Canary, who is Laurel Lance. Arsenal, who is Roy Harper. Martian Manhunter, who is J'onn J'onzz. Guardian, who is James Olsen. Power Girl, who is Sam Arias. Dreamer, who is Nia Nal. Last but not least are our computer and tech experts Winn Schott and Lena Luthor." Kara said.

"Well, it is nice to meet all of you finally. Thank you for all that you do for the city and thank you for letting us all know who you are and trusting us with that knowledge. That is all we have for now people. Have a nice evening and we hope you tune back in tomorrow." Cat said and the camera's light went off showing that they were no longer being recorded.

"Thanks for doing this Mrs. Grant." Kara said.

"It was my pleasure Kara. Now go and do what you do Supergirl." Cat said and all of the heroes left to go and do their nightly patrol.
