A New Life on a New Earth

Chapter 34

Once J'onn and Alex had left Lex at a DEO black site they went and met the rest of the team in the bunker. The team was glad to have Lex out of the way, but they still needed to deal with the clone of Kara that was in Kasnia.

"What do you think we should do with your clone, Kara?" Alex asked.

"I know we have to do something about her, but we have too many people on our team already to bring her into the team. Maybe we can bring her here for a while and train her and then she can go and protect another city or country out there." Kara said.

"That actually isn't a bad idea. We just have to find a way to turn her to our side. Right now she is still under Lex's influence since he has been working with her for a while." Oliver said.

"How do we do that? That is not going to be something that is easy to do." Thea said.

"No, it is not. It is probably all going to be on Kara to talk the clone down. She is very good with speeches as you know." Oliver said which made Kara blush.

"I will start working on what to say. Some of us will need to stay here though. Oliver, Sam, Sara, Laurel, and I will go to Kasnia. The rest of you will stay here and watch the city." Kara said and everyone nodded in agreement as the ones going to Kasnia left to get ready for their flight.

Once the team got to Kasnia they went to the military base that Oliver had found out that Kara's clone was being kept at. Once they got there, they scoped the place out to see which would be the best way for them to enter that night. They found that there were going to be multiple points of entry and that it wouldn't be too hard to get to where the clone was being kept because of bad security patrols.

"I think we have everything that we need for now. We will come back tonight after we have a plan of action." Oliver said and the rest of the team agreed.

"This looks like it might be easier than I thought it was going to be." Sara said.

"The only part that we are going to have a problem with is talking sense into this clone." Kara said.

"Yeah, that might take some work, but I believe in you and so does everyone else." Oliver said to Kara who blushed at the compliment.

"Anyways, what is the plan?" Laurel asked.

"We will discuss it once we get back to the hotel." Kara said and they all left to go to the hotel so that they could make their plan.

Later that night the team was back at the military base with their suits on and ready to bring into the place. The plan was that everyone was going to keep the troops busy while Kara went and found her clone so that she could talk to her.

"Ok, is everyone ready to go?" Green Arrow asked and the rest of the team confirmed that they were over the comms.

"Let's get this over with then." Kara said as they all breached the base from different sides so that they could spread all of the troops out and also give Kara the time that she needed to talk to her clone.

Once Kara was inside she saw herself sitting in a chair looking at her. This was going to be weird and she knew that all along, but seeing another her was throwing her off of her game for the time being.

"Hey, my name is Kara, what is your name?" Kara asked.

"I don't really have a name. I do know that you are bad though." the clone said.

"I am not the bad one and I can prove it to you if you will let me." Kara said.

"I will give you a chance to prove this to me. I have been trained to take you out though, so if you are not convincing, that is what I will do." the clone said.

"Understood. Come over here and I will show you videos of what I do for my city and the world." Kara said as the clone got up and came over to see what Kara wanted to show her.

Kara showed her all of the saves that she had made that had made the news and this looked like it was starting to convince the clone. She still needed one more thing because she thought that if she could show that Lex was bad, that would break Lex's influence over her.

She pulled up a video that showed Lex doing bad things to people and the city and this was the breaking point for the clone, which finally allowed Kara to get through to the clone.

"As you can see, Lex is not a good man. He has tried to destroy cities just so that he can kill my cousin and I. If you come with me, we can finish your training and then you can go and live your life anywhere that you want and be the hero that you are meant to be." Kara said.

"I think I will give you a chance. I do believe you now, but I don't know if I trust you yet." the clone said.

"I understand. We will get you ready and then we will let you live your own life. I have no desire to keep you locked up like these men have." Kara said.

"It would be nice to get out every now and then." the clone said.

"Well, in that case let's get out of here." Kara said and the clone nodded as they clew outside and helped the others with the troops and then they left the base and went to the airport so that they could go back to National City and work on getting the clone ready to be a part of the real world.
