A New Life on a New Earth

Chapter 25

The team was in the bunker looking at the computer screens to see what Winn and Lena had found on the Children of Liberty. The group seemed to be against everything alien, which meant that they could cause problems for some of the members of the heroes team. They would probably try to take out Supergirl first, since she was the most powerful out of all of them. The good thing was, none of them went anywhere by themselves, so any of the team that went out to help anyone would be safe since they would have back up.

"So, what do we do with these guys? They seem to be very organized, and we can't figure out who their leader is because of that mask that he is always wearing." Thea said.

"We will just take them out as they come. The leader will show himself at some point and that is when we will take him down as well." Oliver said.

"That will take forever to take them down though. They are steadily recruiting new members, so we really aren't making a dent." Kara said.

"I agree, but if we keep on stopping them from doing what they want to get done, they will start to coming after us. They probably won't expect us to be waiting for them to do that, so they will be at a disadvantage when they think that we walked into a trap, but it was really them who walked into our trap." Oliver said.

"That makes sense. I guess we'll just have to play the waiting game for now and keep stopping their plans until they decide to come after us." Kara said.

"Sounds like some of our old missions as Team Arrow on Earth 1." Roy said.

"Yeah it does. So, let's go out on patrol and see if we can find any Children of Liberty to stop." Oliver said and the team thought about their suits and they appeared, and now they were heading out to patrol the streets.

Kara was out flying around when she heard a disturbance. She flew down to see what was going on, but kept her distance until she had backup.

"I have something. It looks like a member of the Children of Liberty is trying to cause some trouble. So, I will wait for backup for as long as I can, but if things start to escalate I will go in by myself." Supergirl said.

"I am a block from you now. I will be there soon." Black Canary said.

"Thanks. See you soon." Supergirl said.

Two minutes later Black Canary showed up and the two heroes went into the house to see the man who was a member of the Children of Liberty had tied up the family who was living there.

"Why are you bothering these nice people?" Supergirl asked.

"Because they are aliens, and there is no place for them in this city." The man said.

"Who are you to decide that? What makes you think that you and your cult are any better than aliens?" Black Canary asked.

"We are better. We are from here. They come here and take jobs that are supposed to be ours and we are just supposed to be ok with it. It isn't right." The man said.

"This country is a country of immigrants. Where do you think your ancestors came from?" Supergirl asked.

"That is beside the point. At least we are all human, well except for you. We can't let the aliens take this planet over." The man said.

"I have had enough of this idiot. Can we take him out now?" Black Canary asked Supergirl who nodded.

Black Canary unleashed a controlled Canary Cry that only hit the Children of Liberty member in the chest and knocked him back. The man had the breath knocked out of him and was trying to catch his breath when Supergirl walked up to him and cuffed him.

"Well, I am glad that we are getting one of these guys off the street tonight." Black Canary said.

"Yeah, I am glad that we are too. Looks like you are learning to become part of this team." Supergirl said.

"It is taking time, since I was always kind of a lone wolf who did what she wanted when she wanted. I am glad to finally have people who have my back. I haven't had something like that since my Oliver died." Black Canary said.

"I can understand that. So, let's head out and see if we can find any more of these guys." Supergirl said as she took off to the police station with the man they had just stopped and Black Canary nodded as she left the house as well.

Green Arrow was riding his motorcycle through the park when he saw a group of Children of Liberty members harassing some other people, who he could only assume were aliens. He rode up to the group and could see that Artemis was riding up on the other side of the group.

"Why don't you leave the nice people alone and fight someone who can actually fight back." Artemis said as she got off of her motorcycle.

"These aren't nice people, they are aliens." a man said with his mask on.

"Doesn't matter. They weren't doing anything wrong and now you are attacking them." Green Arrow said.

"Them just being here is bad enough. We need to get rid of all of them." The man said.

"I guess you leave us no choice. Either leave these people alone or we will make you." Green Arrow said.

"You would go against your own people for some aliens?" The man asked.

"All I care about is that everyone in this city is safe, and what you are doing is making these people unsafe, so yes, I would go against you." Artemis said.

Just like that Green Arrow and Artemis started to release bola arrows and tying the men up.

"Call the police and tell them what happened here. You will be safe now." Green Arrow said as he and Artemis left the scene to head back to the bunker to meet up with the others.

When everyone was back at the bunker they all discussed the night that they had while they were patrolling. "I think that we took down a good number of those idiots tonight. I mean the crap that they were spewing was just ridiculous." Thea said.

"I know what you mean. I think we took down five of them tonight. If we keep on doing this, they will start to get desperate and pissed off as well." Sara said.

"Which would make them want to take us down, since we are stopping them from doing what they were brought together to do." Roy said.

"Exactly. We just need to wait for them to do something stupid, like coming after us, and then we will take them all down." Oliver said.

"I like the way you guys think. Hopefully this won't take too long though. These idiots are causing too much trouble out there." Kara said.

"We will finish them off soon enough. For now we just need to be patient and when they make their move we take them down." Oliver said and the team nodded in agreement as they all started to file out of the bunker and head home for the night.
