A New Life on a New Earth

Chapter 57

After the team had finished their training and got cleaned up they walked back out to the area where the team will meet to see if there was anything that was going on that would need their attention. As of right now there were no problems out in the city, so they could relax for a little while. As it turned out, it was a good thing that nothing was going on because Novu showed up right then. Oliver and Kara took a deep breath because they knew that this meant that they would be doing something for the man now that he had shown up.

"What is it that you need this time?" Oliver asked.

"I am sending you back to Earth 1. There is something that we need, that will be with some old friends of yours, Oliver." Novu said.

"Where exactly are you sending us?" Kara asked.

"You will be going to Russia. I am sure you know what that means, Oliver." Novu said and Oliver just shook his head.

"I don't know how this is going to go. Anatoly and I are not on the best of terms right now, even though he did turn on Diaz." Oliver said.

"You shouldn't need him. You have enough help here as it is." Novu said as he looked at the future Queen siblings.

"I really don't want them in on this. The bratva is nothing to mess around with." Oliver said.

"This is why we were sent back here, dad. What is the point if you don't let us do anything?" Karen asked.

"She is right Oliver. This is the reason that I sent both of them back in time. Use this time with your kids to your advantage. It might be the only time you see them, depending on how this Crisis goes." Novu said and Oliver nodded knowing Novu was right.

"Ok, let's get this over with." Oliver said and Novu teleported the four of them to Russia on Earth 1.

When they found themselves in Russia Oliver made his way to where he remembered there being a fighting ring. He was going to get in the ring and fight, because he knew that this was the best way to get to the new leader of the bratva. He and Karen eventually found their way into the ring and were to face multiple men.

Kara wasn't happy with the plan, so she turned to her son and asked, "Do you think your sister is up for this?"

"Yeah, Karen is just about as good at hand to hand combat as dad is. She doesn't even have to use her powers most of the time." Conner said and Kara just nodded as the fight started.

It turned out that Conner was right and that Karen was a good fighter. It didn't take long for her and Oliver to take out all of the men and be sent upstairs where the new leader of the bratva was waiting for them.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Queen?" the leader asked.

"We need a chip that you have. We heard about it from a friend." Oliver said.

"Well, that is convenient. I just happen to have it on me right now." the leader said.

"Do you mind if we borrow it then? We will bring it back when we are done." Oliver said even though he knew that he was never going to bring it back.

"I am sorry, but this is what is keeping me in power right now. If I give it up, I will be overthrown not long after that." the leader said.

Kara and Conner had been watching from downstairs and saw where he had hidden it. With a quick look around to make sure that no one was paying attention to her, Kara sped upstairs and took the chip and was back by Conner's side before anyone even knew she was gone. She then showed the chip to her son and both of them smiled. Kara then said something through the comms.

"We have what we need. I think it is time to go." Kara said.

Oliver then looked toward the leader of the bratva and said, "That's ok. It was worth a try. Thanks for your time."

Once everyone was outside, they went to the ally that was beside the fight club and Novu appeared and then sent them back to their earth. When they appeared back in the bunker, Kara pulled out the chip and gave it to Novu. Just as that happened, Roy and Thea walked in and handed what they had with them to Novu as well.

"What was it that you had to go and get?" Oliver asked his sister.

"Depleted Uranium. I don't know what it was for, but he said he needed it, so he sent Roy and I to get it." Thea said and Oliver nodded.

"Is there anything else that you need from us?" Kara asked.

"No, not right now. I will be in touch though." Novu said and this earned a sigh from Oliver and Kara because they were tired of being called upon to do all of this stuff.

Novu disappeared and the team looked at each other. "I wonder what we are helping him build. I don't think that it is anything good." Kara said.

"Probably not, but if it helps with this Crisis, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. We will just have to keep an eye on him." Oliver said and his wife nodded in agreement.

"So, how far do you think this Crisis is out? Do you think it will be soon or do you think we have a while?" Conner asked.

"We have no idea. That is why we are staying ready, which means that I am going to train some more being that it could happen at any time." Oliver said as he went and changed into his workout clothes again and got in another workout for the day. The others seemed to agree with him as they did the same. It was best to be ready and the only way to do that was to make sure that they were at top form when the time came for the biggest fight of their lives.
