CHAPTER 6.

I don't know if I should trust zuki again after she just changed on me and I became her enemy. She hasn't said why she did what she did but has just been crying. Thando is annoyed with her and she asked her to give us space so we can talk. She left without saying a word.

" I can't belive you are going to let those fake tears of hers make you believe that you can trust her again."

" I don't trust her at all. She didn't explain why she suddenly changed on me and why was she looking at bab' Dlamini like that?. Like she knew something?."

" Maybe he's her blesser Jabu and noe she's pissed that dlamini has his eyes on you. How else would bab' Dlamini know about thatto?."

" You are right. She could be the one who was feeding him information about me and thato. We can't trust her Thando."

" Thank go you finally seen the light. Call thato again jabu, we have to leave this place tonight. I'll stand by the door to see if zuki is not spying on us again." I nod.

I call thato’s number and it rings, he doesn't answer. I try again three more times and it's still the same. I sigh and close my eyes. He's my only hope now and I don't know what I am going to do because I am scared that bab'dlamini might come back at night and finish what he started. My phone vibrates and it's thato.

" I'm so sorry babe, I was drunk and damn I just saw your missed calls. What's wrong?." Hearing his voice somehow makes me want to cry. " Babe I can hear you breathing. I know you're mad at me and I'm sorry." I want to talk but words just feel stuck in my throat.

I feel the phone being snatched from me by thando.

" Where are you thato?.....Yes its me thando, jabu can't talk.....Listen to me thato!. Something happened to Jabu and we need to leave this place now, tonight like forever....Yes...Ok." she gives me the phone. " Talk to him, he doesn't believe me."

" Hello?."

" Baby what happened? Are you ok?."

" I'm not thato. I know it's alot to ask but can you please find us a room to rent with thando? I don't feel safe here." Thando sits next to me and puts her ear on the phone too so she can hear.

" Did they hurt you?." I keep quiet. I hear him cursing and threatening to kill someone. " I am coming there now!."

" Thato you can't come here!. They will see you please. We will meet you at the corner. Please be there and wait for us. I’m coming with thando."

" Is the security guard that I sent there?."

" Uhmm I don't know." thando nods. " Thando says he's here."

" Ok. he's going to come with a bag. Pack all your clothes and leave them behind the door. He will take them and bring them to me. You will go and have dinner as usual but you will excuse yourself like you're going to the toilet. Thando will follow you like she's going to check if you are okay then the two of you will find vusi waiting for you and he will bring you to me. Do you understand babe?."

" I do."

" Ok. Don't tell anyone jabu please not even zuki okay?."

" I won't."

" Ok I'll be waiting. I love you." I close my eyes and tears fall.

" I love you too." I hang up.

Thando takes then phone and puts it on her pocket. She hugs me.

" It's ok. He won't put his slimy hands on you again." I nod.

I hope they won't notice that we are gone until it is late after. We have to act normal so zuki won't suspect a thing. What if they tell me that I must eat in my room because the other children will see me and maybe they will freak out. Mam' Dlamini will do anything to protect herself and her husband. She will do anything to make sure that what happened to me won't get out.
