Katherine's POV
"W-WHAT do you need from m-me? You want m-money? My f-father can give you money. J-just please d-don't hurt me."
Fear is evident in Yamada's voice as she pleads for her safety. Hindi naman talaga namin siya gustong madamay, lalo na at according to our investigation eh hindi siya aware sa mga illegal transactions ng tatay niya.
It's not her fault that she's the only daughter of Shadows' underboss. The same underboss who kidnapped our friends. So here she is, tied on a chair, with blindfolds on her eyes.
"Osoreru koto wa arimasen," Don't be afraid, malumanay na alo sa kanya ni Ryu na siyang tanging kasama ko dito sa interrogation room maliban sa babae.
"Nande watashi ni kon'na ko to suru no..." takot pa ring tanong ni Yamada kung bakit namin ito ginagawa sa kanya.
"We want to ask your father the same thing," I answered her with a voice void of any emotions. Pity shouldn't get the best of me right now.
"N-nani?"
"Hime..."
Tahimik na napabuntung- hininga ako sa pananaway ni Ryu. Tinitigan ko si Yamada na tahimik na lumuluha at bahagyang nanginginig.
In-activate ko ang mask ng suot kong Camouflage suit maliban sa invisibility mode nito. Sinenyasan ko si Ryu na gayahin ang ginawa ko bago ko tinanggal ang piring sa mga mata ng babae. Kasabay nito ay kinalas ni Ryu ang tali na nakapulupot dito.
Takot na pinabalik balik ni Yamada ang tingin nito sa aming dalawa ni Ryu habang marahang pinagsasalikop ang mga braso payakap sa sarili.
"Why are y-you doing this?"
"Your father took our friends. We need you to ensure their safety," diretsang sagot ko rito.
"M-my father won't do that! He's a good man!" puno ng conviction na saad nito.
I sighed again before I dropped an envelope in front of her. Minuwestra ko sa kanyang buksan ito na siyang ginawa niya. I watched as different emotions occupied her face while her hands are trembling as she grip photo after photo.
"T-these aren't true... Dad will never k-kill somebody... H-he will never sell illegal d-drugs.." nanlulumong bulalas nito habang isa-isang tinitignan ang mga snapshots ng CCTV footages na nakuha namin sa ilan sa mga transaksiyong kinasangkutan ng tatay nya.
"He's not the person you thought you knew, Yamada..." Ryu spoke gently.
"You want to watch the video clips?" I ruthlessly prodded.
"Hime..."
I sighed for the nth time before sitting down on the chair in front of our "guest".
"We're telling you the bitter truth. Your father is a mafia underboss. He kidnapped our friends and we don't know if they are still alive... We need your help," sunud- sunod na saad ko.
"W-what do you want me to do?" lumuluhang tanong ng babae.
I stared at her before nodding at Ryu. She looked at him then back at me when she saw what Ryu was holding in his hands.
Yamada stared at me for a while before nodding as understanding dawned on her.
"ARE you sure you're coming with us?"
Arthur chuckled after hearing the same question I've been asking him for about 30 minutes. Napailing ito bago naglagay ng Cat Eyes sa mga mata.
"Stop asking me that, princess."
