Katherine's POV
Nagising ako sa mainit na bagay na dumadampi sa magkabila kong pisngi. Hmmmm. I opened my eyes and smiled at Claus' handsome face who kissed me one more time before he pulled away and stared at me.
"Happy birthday. You better wake up sweetheart, we just landed," masuyong sabi nito habang iniipit sa aking tenga ang ilang takas na hibla ng buhok ko.
"I haven't felt the plane land sweetheart. And thank you for the greeting," I kissed him on the cheek.
It's December 21 and yes, it's my birthday. We were planning to suprise our parents since they thought we won't be coming home again for Christmas. And of course we wanted to announce our engagement. I smiled at the thought as I lift my hand with the ring.
We waited for the crowd to thin out before we decided to get out of the plane. We were scanning the arrival area for Hendrix when somebody called Claus' name.
"Claus, babe it's so nice to see you here!" bati ng babae rito at nagtagis ang mga bagang ko nang bigla nitong hinalikan si Claus sa mga labi na maagap namang gumalaw kaya sa pisngi lamang lumapat. Claus din tawag niya sa kanya, tshh...
"V-vicky, what are you doing here?" my boyfriend awkwardly glanced at me.
"I went home for Christmas. I didn't know you were coming home too!" masigla pa ring sabi ng babae na hindi man lamang ako pinansin.
Nagngingitngit na hinigpitan ko ang hawak sa shoulder bag ko habang sinusuri ito ng tingin. She's taller than my 5'7" height, almost as tall as Claus who stood 6 feet tall because of her high-heeled boots. She is blonde and blue-eyed with fair skin that seemed to be even whiter with her cream coat over a yellow dress.
Napakunot lalo ako ng noo nang iniangkla nito ang braso kay Claus. Matalim kong tinitigan ang dibdib nito na halos kita nang lahat sa napakababang neckline ng damit nito at nakadikit sa braso ng boyfriend ko. Nagulat na lamang ako ng hinapit ako ni Claus sa baywang palapit sa katawan nito at lumayo ng bahagya sa babae.
"Vicky this is my fianceé, Katherine. Sweetheart meet Vicky, my co-intern at the hospital."
"It's nice to meet one of my fiancé's fellow interns. How are you Vicky?" I emphasized the word fiancé and gave her a sweet smile. Pinaningkitan lamang ako nito ng tingin. I can tell that she's very frustrated. Hindi pa rin ako sinasagot.
"We'll go ahead Vi. Come sweetheart, your brother's here," baling sa akin ng nobyo ko at naglakad na kami palayo sa nagpupuyos na babae.
