"So how did your pack die?" Indiana asked as they walked into a tavern. When they opened the door the noise of the town just got louder. Looking around Indiana could see creatures both human and not chatting with their friends about their latest adventure, or just drinking. The music filling his ears just as much as the talking.

"By a red dragon!" Ohio responded, climbing up to the stool.

"Why are you acting like that's a good thing?" Indiana asked, his head tilted to the right slightly in confusion.

"That's 'cause it is! Dying isn't a good thing, but dying to a dragon is a great honor." Ohio responded, he stared at the tabaxi wide eyed and happy. He was still sad about his friends dying, but he knew they died in honor, and he was very happy about that.

"I still don't understand why that's a good thing. Are you sad at all?" Indiana asked, still very confused. He couldn't understand why dying to a dragon was considered this amazing honor to Ohio.

"I am sad that they died, but it's still a great honor." Ohio replied, he didn't know why Indiana didn't find it an honor to get killed by a dragon.

"So since some of them went missing would you ever like to be reunited with them?" Indiana asked.

"Oh I would love to!" Ohio exclaimed happily, he always wanted to be reunited with another kobold from his pack.

"Well maybe we'll meet one on our adventure." Indiana responded, smiling.

"Can I get you guys anything to drink, maybe some booze?" A dwarf asked the pair.

"We're good." Indi responded for the both of them.

"I'd like some booze please!" Ohio told the dwarf happily.

"I'm not letting you get any booze, we're going to leave after he's gone." Indiana growled, pointing to the dwarf.

"But I-" Ohio tried to speak but was stopped.

"No buts! We can't have you getting drunk!" Indiana said angrily, he really wasn't in the mood to have a drunk kobold on their adventure.

"F-fine." Ohio responded, starting to become scared.

"Come on, let's go." Indiana told Ohio, and started walking out the door. Ohio joined a few seconds later. Indiana could tell Ohio was holding something.

"What do you have there?" Indi asked, confused.

"That dwarf had a healing potion and some gold!" Ohio said happily, his voice quiet so as to not alert the people around.

"That'll be important, one of us might need to use that potion or buy something." Indiana said, happy with what the small creature had gotten.

"Yeah well these are only for me!" Ohio said, his amber eyes glaring up at Indiana.

"Whatever, but I might need them." Indiana said, Ohio had to be ok with Indiana using at least one of his items one way or another.

"We should head back out into the woods." Indiana remarked, and started walking back to the forest he came from. Ohio nodded agreeing with the other's idea.

The stone pathway turned to grass as they made their way back towards the forest. The ground became dotted with trees that seemed to multiply every few steps. The sound of crunching twigs and leaves under their paws, and the sound of animals filled the air. The pair continued walking in silence, not knowing what to talk about. The trees surrounded them as they fully entered the woods.

"Let's set up camp for today and make a fire, we'll collect our bearings tomorrow and figure out where we should head." Indiana took charge and told Ohio what the both of them should do. Ohio nodded and went to grab sticks to make a fire. Indiana grabbed the supplies he needed to make them a place to sleep. After a while the camp was finished, but Ohio was insistent on setting at least one trap.

"Come on, it'll be great!" Ohio said, holding a rope.

"Fine, but this better work, that rope could be important later and I don't want it going to waste." Indi responded, reluctant to let the little kobold create a trap.

"It will work!" Ohio stated matter of factly, and started setting up the trap. A little while later the trap was finished.

"What the heck is this?" Indiana asked, confused at the contraption.

"So a monster will walk into this rope which will then tighten around its leg, then as it tries to escape it will knock down the stone which will then pull the rope down causing the monster to be lifted a few feet into the air." Ohio explained to Indiana what the trap was supposed to do. Indiana stared at it, still very confused.

"This better work." Was all Indiana said.

"I can assure you it will." Ohio told Indi happily.

After a while the sun began to set. If Indiana liked the dark, Ohio loved it. He didn't like being in the sun and was happy to be in a dense thick forest. The pair got ready to fall asleep for when the night came. After a few minutes the night finally came and their camp was covered in darkness. The two debated staying up but decided against it.

"Goodnight." Indiana said, laying down.

"Goodnight!" Ohio responded, laying down a few feet from Indiana.

Indiana was woken up by a howl, he didn't know where it was coming from. He woke up Ohio telling him about the noise.

"Well that can't be good." Ohio said, standing up.

"Yeah it can't." Indiana said, ready to fire his bow when necessary. Just then a dire wolf ran towards the two. Ohio screamed and started bolting away out of fear. Indiana drew his bow and got ready to fire. The dire wolf continued to chase Ohio until it stopped. The creature hung a few feet off the ground, attached to a rope. Indiana was surprised the trap worked, Ohio was terrified but couldn't be happier. Indiana fired a few arrows and killed the beast fairly easily.

"I told you it would work!" Ohio exclaimed happily, extremely happy that his trap had worked.

"Yeah I'm surprised, I thought surely it would fail." Indiana told Ohio.

"Well it didn't fail, we kobolds are great trap creators." Ohio told Indiana.

"You sure are." Indiana said, looking down at the proud creature. He was surprised yet happy the trap worked.
