TW: Flashback, mentions of gunshots

"Hey!" Alabama hugged Ohio from behind, scaring the Midwestern state. Ohio didn't say anything, he was frozen in place and started to panic. Alabama noticed and immediately let go, though Ohio was already panicking.

Ohio rushed towards his room, not saying anything. Alabama followed him, he felt horrible for giving Ohio a flashback. He didn't want to see his boyfriend afraid. Ohio opened the door, slamming it behind him. He sat on his bed and grabbed the blanket, pulling it over him. He sat with his knees towards his chin, his entire body shaking. He could hear what sounded like gunshots, Ohio curled into himself more. He cried into himself, he was so afraid.

Alabama opened the door to see Ohio. His heart broke as he saw the Midwestern state in a flashback. He felt horrible for bringing it on. He stared at the terrified state for a few more moments before sitting on the bed next to him. Ohio curled up more in response, his body shaking out of fear. Alabama wasn't sure what to say, but he knew he had to say something.

"Ohio, it's me Alabama." Bama said, his voice soft as to not startle the terrified state. Ohio didn't respond, he just continued crying, shaking out of fear. Alabama knew he had to help Ohio get out of it.

"Ohio you're in a flashback it's not real, you're in your room on your bed, with me here." Alabama stated, looking at Ohio, his voice still soft. Ohio didn't respond, but nodded a little. He could still hear what sounded like gunshots, and couldn't really make out Alabama's voice or what he was saying.

"Can you tell me what you see?" Alabama asked, smiling at the Midwestern state.

"The b-bed, y-you, th-the b-blanket, the w-walls." Ohio responded, his voice quiet and shaky.

"Good." Bama smiled, his voice still soft. Ohio seemed to open up a bit, he was still curled up, but he stopped shaking as much.

"Now can you tell me what you hear?" Alabama asked his boyfriend.

"Y-you, the g-gunshots." Ohio responded, still scared.

"Those aren't gunshots, it's just me and you." Alabama said, trying his best to comfort the still scared state. Ohio nodded, he had stopped crying, but was still curled up.

"Can I hug you?" Alabama asked, not wanting to scare Ohio into another flashback.

"Y-yeah." Ohio muttered, his voice still shaky. Alabama smiled and hugged his boyfriend gently. Ohio hugged back a little in response.

"Are you doing better?" Bama asked, he wanted to make sure Ohio was doing ok.

"Y-yeah I g-guess." Ohio's voice was still shaky.

"That's good, I just want you to know you're safe, it's just me and you." Alabama stated, still keeping the soft voice he had the entire time. Ohio didn't say anything, just nodding in response.
