TW: Alcohol and alcoholism.

DC watched as Ohio and Florida talked about things that didn't matter. He called Ohio to the table so he could talk about coronavirus, not for Florida to talk to him. He hoped he could ask his dad about covid soon. He looked over at where Ohio was, and noticed the wine glass. His dad was drinking again. He told me he got better. DC thought to himself, he decided he should ask him about it.

"Why do you have wine?" The fed asked, looking at Ohio with betrayal in his eyes.

"Ope, it's 2 o'clock." Ohio responded, he was surprised DC found out about the wine, he wasn't sure how to respond.

"No it isn't." DC responded back, he wasn't satisfied with the answer Ohio gave him. He thought he was getting better, he told him he was getting better, he told his family he was getting better, that he stopped drinking, but he lied.

"Ope, well, it's 2 o'clock somewhere so." Ohio said, giving a fake smile, he knew what he was doing was wrong, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't stop. He would get better, and better, and then fall back down.

The fed decided he would finish the meeting and then talk to Ohio about his drinking, one on one. He ignored what Florida had to say, he just wanted to ask Ohio about the coronavirus and get this meeting done with.

DC watched as Florida and Texas left the room, Ohio got up to join them, he knew DC was going to talk about his drinking, and that wasn't something he was in the mood to talk about.

"Stay here." DC told Ohio, who sat back down next to him. It was a few moments before anyone said anything, the silence engulfing the pair. Ohio took a sip of the white wine, he knew he shouldn't, but he couldn't stop himself, he dreaded the conversation he was about to have with his son.

"Put that down." The Fed told Ohio, who listened and put the wine glass down.

"You told me you stopped drinking." DC said, his voice laced with betrayal. Ohio didn't say anything.

"You told me you were getting better." DC continued, his voice quiet enough for only Ohio to hear. Ohio still didn't say anything, he didn't know what to say, so for now he just listened to his son. There was a pause before DC continued, the pause was brief, but the silence made it feel like hours.

"You told the rest of your family you were getting better." DC spoke again. Ohio just nodded, he knew DC was right, he said he was getting better, he said was stopping. DC looked at him as if to ask why he wasn't saying anything, Ohio just looked back, his lips sealed shut.

"You lied to me. You lied to your family." The Fed told Ohio, who knew he was right. Ohio knew he lied to his family, the ones he loved. The silence engulfed the two again before Ohio said something."

"I'm sorry son." Ohio finally said.
