Astral's POV

I was grown up believing that the vastness of the universe and improved intelligence of civilizations, extinction of humanity shouldn't be a big deal. If only the technologies here were way more advance and improved than before, I would definitely create my own spaceship and build bases and civilizations in other exoplanets. Unfortunately, I can't.

“The people, they are gone," Astisha mouthed as she bends her knees on the ground.

I used to believe that we are just here because we are here but what I've realized in the entire times living here in the future, is that we were born because we were meant to die.

That is also a philosophical statement and once stated in the song of Lana Del Rey entitled Born to Die. All human beings were born and all human beings face death. In this case, we are finite. This is also the reason why the concept of mortality was built. And now, we are facing the last stage of our lives. We may or may not survive, it is because we are destined to die.

“Does it mean, we are the last four people alive?” Hindi makapaniwalang wika ni Damiel habang pinupunasan ang kaniyang mga pawis.

“Ano pa nga ba?” Sam replied.

“What a nightmare,” I chuckled disbelievingly.

“Kaya pa ba?” Astisha added a question.

I turned my gaze at her, “Of course we'll fight. But could we defer the inevitable?”

Could we really? If the restoration of the omegas' heart is the solution to the total extinction of humans and the one that could delay the near death of our planet, then it will be amazing. But if not? We can do nothing but lie down, sleep and never wake up.

“Masyadong nang malala ang mga nangyari. I don't think we can still survive and succeed this mission,” Dagdag ko at umupo na rin sa lupa. My body seems giving up. Body pain everywhere. Even my internal organs are aching.

I won't be surprise if we can't achieve the triumph for the last time. Hindi na ako aasang makakaligtas kami sa nalalapit naming kamatayan.

“The time is running.

Hindi pa rin siguro siya nakakamove-on. Well, even I, masakit pa rin naman ang pagkamatay niya pero pinipilit kong hindi isipin dahil mas binibigyan ko ng pansin ang misyon namin.

“I'm sorry, I shouldn't be joking like that,” Bawi niya.

“It's fine. From now on, we must look forward to our main goal,” Sagot ko ‘tsaka ako tumayo.

“Tara na. Three hours more,” Anang Damiel.

“Can you give me a hand, Astral?” Astisha requested. I held her arms and pull her up to my fullest strength.

Pinagpag niya ang pants niya bago niya kami tuluyang hinarap, "So where can we find the necklaces?"

“During my fight against Sevastian, I dropped the green pendant somewhere here in the suicide forest,” Sagot ko.
