“What comes to your minds when we say transmigration?”

I can still remember that question coming from Lolo Orion when we first met here in the future. I was so dumb for not analyzing his statements back then. Malay ko bang ito ang magiging susi sa kung ano talaga kami.

“You mean, reincarnation?” Maging si Astisha na mahilig sa pilosopiya ay nabigla sa tanong ni Lolo Orion. “It’s about religious concept and philosophical knowledge stating that the non-physical essence of a living starts a new beginning in a different physical form after death,” Paliwanag niya. “Several religions in western countries really believe it does exists such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism. Unfortunately, Christianity doesn’t support the concept of such thing,” Paliwanag ulit ni Astisha.

“Since the Royal Land of Maharlika is a diverse country, many cultures engraved in its past. Do you think, there are people in this country before that believe in rebirth?” Walang sumagot ni isa sa amin.

Bumukas ang isang LED screen sa harapan namin at nag-flash ang isang imahe ng lumang mapa ng Royal Land of Maharlika na noon ay kilala sa tawag na Pilipinas. Nag-iba ng kulay ang isang parte sa Mindanao malapit sa Davao.

They consider Pamolak Manobo as their principal spirit and great creator.” Lumitaw ang isang larawan ng lalaki na tila kahawig ni Zeus na siyang highest greek god.

“But over the years, the Bagobos have abandoned their tribal roots and embraces modern life. That is why their great creator punished them, making them an evil in humans’eyes.” Pinatay ni Lolo Orion ang LED screen.

“What is the connection of that to your first topic?” Tanong ni Sam.

“After the death of their gods and goddesses, they underwent into samsara.”

“Samsara?” Si Dam.

“Metempsychosis or the rebirth of their soul in a new human body.”

“Are you saying that their gods and goddesses transformed into humans?” pagtataka ni Ashtar.

“Exactly, they are back for their mission to fight the evils.” Bumalik ako sa reyalidad nang marinig iyon. “They are with me. They are within you.”

Naalala ko rin ang sinabi niya nang una niya kaming iligtas sa mga Vag’bos.

“I’m once like you.”

At ang sinabi niya noong una niyang pinakita sa amin ang secret laboratory niya.

“Ngayong nandito na kayo, kayo na ang pinaka-makapangyarihan sa mundo, put that in your mind.”

So is that the reason behind our real identity? How amazing the destiny works. The universe really conspire us to meet again in our new lives—and our mission to save the world from the Vag’bos.
