Chapter 34- The Baby

"WHERE'S MY BABY?!" I screamed when nobody took the liberty to answer me first.

"Geez Matt, did you not hear your mate?" Lauren asked coming closer to me.

"Lils, baby Tobi is fine and healthy. He's currently sleeping soundly in the nursery but goodness Moon Goddess that child has a mouth. His cries are so loud" Lauren confirmed.

I laughed as the tears continued spilling from my eyes. This time it was happy tears though. I had a boy. A healthy baby boy. Oh I couldn't wait to see him.

"Yeah I would expect no less from a future Alpha" Matt said snaking his hands around my waist from behind and I hissed in pain.

Quickly removing his hands, I looked down and saw a blood stain on my clothes on my left waist. That's when the events came back. Yeah I was injured on my left waist.

The pain now shooting down my left leg also and I almost fall.

"Luna I suggest you lie back down now please" Doctor Davis said softly as Matt caught me and helped me back on the bed.

"Why isn't she healing?" Lauren asked concerned.

"I think it's because of the unresponsive state she was in. But now as she's conscious she should heal" The man, whom I did not know voiced his opinion.

"I want to see him" I told Matt as Doctor Davis came to my side.

"I think we could arrange for him to stay in this room while you're here" Doctor Davis smiled at me.

The man was a doctor that Lauren had brought from her coven. Since Doctor Davis was kind of an expert on werewolves, they brought in someone who was more of an expert on witches.

As he left the room and Matt went to get Tobi, Doctor Davis began cleaning and redressing my wound herself and I took the opportunity to tell Lauren about what I could only describe as a real dream of our parents. She seemed quite sad and pleased about the news though. As I would expect, she lived and grew up with them. I couldn't imagine how she felt; she was so much closer to them.

Matt came back into the room wheeling the baby in. I gently sat up and Matt was going to pick him up.

"Wait he's sleeping. You could leave him there" I said softly.

"It's fine Luna. You should hold your son" Doctor Davis okayed and then left the room.

Matt gently scooped him up this time and brought him to me, putting him in a way trying not to cause me pain. I couldn't care though. This was my son and I wanted to hold him. The happy tears burned my eyes again. He was so small. It was so cute being quiet and all. I looked up at Matt and the joy on his face was like no other. It was such a precious moment; our little family.

"He's perfect. Everything is as it should be" Matt whispered to me quickly kissing my lips.

"Take the picture quickly" I heard somebody whisper and my head went to the door.

May and Jason were standing at the doorway, May smiling and Jason with his phone in his hand.

"OhmyGod" I whispered out, gently lifting Tobi for Matt to take him, "May" I almost cried.

"Hey how about you don't scare me like that pretending to be dead and all" She said coming to the side of the bed.

"I could tell you the same thing" I squeezed her ignoring the slight pain. May was alive. My best friend was alive. The relief that's been going through my body these past few minutes was exhilarating.

"Are you-"

"A werewolf? Yup." Jason cut me off asking and answering my question "Thanks to you Lils" He came up to me and kissed my head. I glanced at Matt but he seemed satisfied. Well Jason had his mate so Matt had nothing to worry about.

"If you didn't suggest it I wouldn't have thought about it. And she's very happy to be supernatural now" Jason continued wrapping a hand around May now.

"Oh finally I'm not just a maladroit human anymore" May said dramatically.

"May what did I tell you about using big words nobody knows the meaning of?" I groaned and everybody laughed.

"So what happened while I was out?" I asked them.

"Well after you killed Norman, all the people he had with him that was still alive fled and well Matt killed Nathan and you were only out for the night so we got rid of the bodies and they took the baby out of you and yeah" Jason gave a brief description and as I was only out for a night, I didn't miss anything much.

"What about Liv? And Alex?" I perked up now watching Lauren for an answer. Did the potion spell thing work?

"Did someone say my name?" Alex walked in the room as if on cue holding hands with a girl. Liv. She was beautiful. She had brown eyes, not deep blue like the first time I saw her, and she was conservatively dressed.

"Lils meet my mate/your mate's sister/your sister-in-law, Liv" Alex introduced me saying 'slash' which made me laugh out

"And babe meet your brother's mate/ your sister-in-law/my friend/our Luna, Lilly" Alex said again.

"It's nice to meet you, when you're not trying to kidnap me" I laughed and she came to hug me

"Yeah sorry about all that" She laughed too and instantly I knew that we were going to get along well.

Stephen then joined us and a light chatter fell among us in the room. Everybody was excited to be together but was still keeping down their voices because baby Tobi was in the room.

"Oh you're awake" Julie came in with Lucas and Elijah. "Lucas and Elijah were looking for baby Tobias Lucas Taylor" I smiled at Matt as they came to hug me and say how happy they were that I was alive. He put our son's name as Lucas and I was happy at how pleased it made his father.

Julie went to hug her daughter after and I could see how glad she was to finally get her daughter back.

"Luna I missed you" Elijah whispered

"I wasn't gone for long" I laughed at the little boy. And then he went, getting caught up with the baby.

"It was your first suggestion and I know it would make my dad content too" Matt explained about the name when his parents got distracted with their sleeping grandson.

I sighed in pleasure as Matt hopped into the bed with me and I leaned back into him. The small white room was now filled with colour and joy.

May and Jason on the couch on the right side of the room, Lauren and Stephen on the chairs, Liv sitting by the foot of the bed and Alex right next to her. On the left side, Julie, Lucas and Elijah fascinated with Tobi, right outside the door Doctor Davis going through a clipboard probably with medical stuff and Matt right next to me.

My life couldn't have been more perfect with all the changes that seemed to recently occur.
