It's been three months. Three months we've been waiting for an attack from the Demon Lord. We had everything ready for this war which now seem like it was never going to happen. Why were they not attacking?
"Congratulations Luna, you're about 6 weeks pregnant" Doctor Davis said happily pulling me out my thinking session. "Shall I call the Alpha?" She asked.
"Oh no Doc!" I quickly jumped off the bed "I would like to tell him myself." Thinking fast, I tried to say a bit calmer.
She laughed at me a little and nodded.
"You can clean up and leave whenever you're ready. Just remember to please be very careful because we don't know how long this pregnancy will take and we don't know how powerful your child is going to be. We have no idea what to expect here."
Her words rang in my ears. That was the scary part; the Demon Lord was already after me, what if the world finds out about this child? A cross between an Alpha who could be a future Werewolf King and a powerful witch who is already being hunted. My child is already in danger.
"And if you have any concerns what-so-ever please come to me. This is the first time something like this is happening and we can't have any problems. Plus, this child is the future of this pack. The Alpha will kill me if something happens to it." She said the last part more to herself but I still heard.
"Thank you Doctor."
On my way out I stopped to see Elijah and then went to think. I didn't know how to tell Matt I was pregnant. I didn't know what his reaction would be. We still had an impending attack over our heads and we never really talked about having children yet.
I walked into the forest and a little way towards the lake. It was beautiful here and always quiet. A great place to think.
Sitting on the huge boulder, my mind ran to the day that we 'mated', as the werewolves would say. That day was burnt into my memory forever. I felt like nothing could make me forget that perfect day.
It was the day that Matt proposed, right here by the lake in the opening of the forest. He was acting so weird for a while, we even had an argument about it. I thought something was terribly wrong and he wasn't letting me in. After I found out that he was just nervous, I laughed at him for hours; the big bad Alpha was nervous about proposing to his mate. Even though it wasn't a necessity in a wolf's life, Matt knew I still had my human ways and wanted us to get married.
We went for a walk that evening. Matt timed it just right as the reflection of the sun setting made the place look magical and then he popped the question. Later on that same night is when he marked me, so now the supernatural know I was his, and then completed the werewolf's mating process.
Yup, so that's how I have this little one in me now.
"I know I have to tell him but how do you think he'll react?" I asked rubbing my stomach.
"He's going to be even more protective, isn't he? My God he wouldn't let me leave his sight at all" I thought aloud.
"Okay how do I tell him though?"
"LILS!?" I heard Matt's voice and immediately turned around and saw him coming through.
"Oh thank Moon Goddess do not do that again I almost got a heart attack" He said hugging me and breathing in my scent. "I've been trying to get you through the mind-link and you were not answering"
"What?" I asked him confused.
"You didn't tell anybody where you were and I followed your scent into the forest, I thought someone took you"
