Remember that plan I had about trying to escape when I got to go to the washroom? Turns out that these people had thought about every possible thing I could do to try to escape and found a solution for every one before they brought me here.

"I need to go to the washroom" I told Eric trying to sound genuine. I actually needed to go though, it just wasn't that bad.

"Okay come here, stretch out your hands and make two fists" He said pointing to where the opening of the cage was and I obliged. Then he pulled out what looked like broad leather cuffs, closed his eyes and said something under his breath. Then the cuffs disappeared from his hands and appeared on my wrists. HE WAS A WITCH? Why was that surprising?

I watched in confusion though. Was that really necessary? How was I supposed to do my businesses comfortably? And yes I was talking about both my bathroom business and escaping.

"With these cuffs on, you can't use your powers just like when you're in the barrier." He smirked at me.

Oh.

OH.

Bloody hell.

It was already night. The pain in my chest was growing stronger and stronger. I needed to be with Matt; to feel his skin on mine, to smell his scent for this pain to go away. I quickly wiped the tears as it spilled from my eyes. I felt so weak. I didn't know how long again I could make without my mate.

I looked up at Eric and saw he had his eyes closed. I've been waiting for him to sleep or at least give his eyes some rest for a while now. After my first plan of escaping flopped, I knew I had to try to break the barrier. It was my only hope now. But I couldn't risk getting caught because God knows what that man would do to me.

With my eyes still trained on Eric, I moved a little closer to the side of the cell where I could reach the barrier. Resting a palm flat on it I made flames appear around my hand but nothing seemed to be happening. I sighed. I couldn't give up just yet but this was frustrating.

Pulling my hand away from the barrier I faced my two hands towards it and pushed ice out hitting the barrier. Something had to happen. I just needed a little sign of what I had to do.

I continued for about 30 seconds but nothing happened.

I took a deep breath trying to calm my nerves. This was upsetting. All this power and I can't fucking get out of here. Ugh!

I closed my eyes this time and focused on my electricity. Willing it out with everything I had at the moment; which wasn't much. I was away from my mate too long now. I was too weak.

The electricity zapped out my hands and hit the barrier but still nothing happened.

The frustration was killing me.

Okay well that was a lie. The mate bond was actually killing me. Being away from my mate was killing me!

I ran my hands through my oily hair and pulled in frustration. I looked up and saw Eric looking at me in amusement. Without thinking I angrily stood up and pelted something at him. It was an icicle that flew out my hands and hit the barrier. From the point of impact, I could see the bubble waver even though the icicle broke to pieces when it hit the barrier.

I looked at him and he looked shocked and a bit scared but was fast to cover it up and plastered back his nonchalant expression on his face without saying a word.

The icicle did something. But what? Were icicles the answer to breaking the barrier?

I had no damn idea.
