"Beth, leave your brother alone please" I drawled as soon as Tobi complained, and continued putting the sandwiches together. I would've been more accommodating but it didn't help that I was almost 2 months pregnant with my third child.

The 8 year old girl immediately stopped and came in the kitchen to interrogate me.

"Mommy where did daddy go?" and right before I could answer she continued

"When is he coming back? He's coming back soon right? I want him to play doll-house with me" She whined.

I glanced at the clock and saw that it was only 9:30am. Matt left at 8 and the kids got up at 9. She can't go half an hour without her father? Geesh.

"Elizabeth you know he went to work and he'll be back soon." I paused and right before she could whine some more I asked

"What did mommy tell you about patience princess?" I asked sweetly.

"Patience is a virtue"

"Right and do we know what that means?"

"It means that it's a good thing" Both Beth and Tobi replied together.

I didn't usually feel like this. I blame the pregnancy and Matt being away.

Ten years ago when Tobi was born Matt insisted that we move out of the pack house and into our own little house with just us and our child.

It was like a little cottage in the woods. Not too far from the pack house, in a clearing in the forest, he decided was a good place. He told me he could still hear everything that was happening at the pack house.

Over a year and a half later we had little Elizabeth. So far, she was the best pregnancy I had. I didn't feel sick at all with her and everything happened naturally and smoothly.

Then from that point Matt decided that he wanted to open a little business so that he could take care of the materialistic things his family desired by himself. It wasn't anything big; a little bakery in the city. He hired people to do everything so he wasn't needed much but when he got time he still went to make sure everything was fine.

I took the time to go back to school when the children started school also and now I am a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, not that I really use it for anything but it's there.

Now, I am almost 31 years old, living in my own house with an Alpha and two kids and one on the way. Life was great actually, just not really at this point in time. This pregnancy reminded me of Tobi's, just we're not under all the stresses from 10 years ago.

"Ahh there are my most precious things in the world" Matt came through the door and the children squealed in excitement as he easily grabbed them up in his arms. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. I would never get fed up of something like that. He is such a good father. One that I always knew he would be. Heck, he plays doll-house with Beth when I'm under the weather. He couldn't be more perfect.

"And there's another one of my most precious things in the world" He came up to me and planted his hands firmly on my waist, leaning down and kissing the little bump on my stomach.

"And" He paused dramatically, "Yeah, that's it. I don't think I'm forgetting anybody" His hands dropped from my waist and he took a step back still smiling at me broadly.

Idiot.

"Oh yeah. Don't mind me, I'm just the cook," I rolled my eyes at him, turning back to get the plate with food. Rolling my eyes at him was risky business but I was pregnant so I had a shield.

"Come on loves, you haven't eaten any breakfast as yet" I called to the kids and they came running to their assigned seats on the table.

"Orange juice?" I asked as I helped them onto their chairs properly.
