"She needs her mate or else she's going to die before you could get all the things ready to take her power" I heard the old lady say. Well I could've told him the first part. Wait, he needed things to get my power? Like what? And why was this surface so hard? My back's killing me. And I feel like my heart literally hurts.

"And the baby isn't helping her. It's just making her weaker too." I tried to reach out to rub my belly but that's when I realized I couldn't move. I was so weak words couldn't explain. I couldn't even open my eyes.

"Yeah I could hear its heartbeats now" Nathan was here too.

"Okay" I heard the grumpy voice of Norman, "Help them. They're looking for her" What? Oh God please continue talking I want to know more.

"Yes sir" I heard the lady again and then footsteps disappearing.

"They both were supposed to be dead right now and you wanna reunite them?" Nathan spat.

"Patience boy. Next time she won't get away so easily" was all Norman said and I could hear them leave wherever I was, closing a door.

My whole body was in so much pain and I still didn't understand why I couldn't move. The only thing that was probably a sign that I was still alive was the frustrated groans of pain I let out when I couldn't help it anymore.

Surprisingly though, after a few more minutes my eyes fluttered open. I looked around and saw I was in a room but it looked like it was still in the dungeon. The brown colour of death was evidence. My stomach also had a little round shape now.

When did that happen? How long was I out for?

Slowly I started to realised that I could now move my hands and feet again. My hands went straight to my belly to see if it was real. I was a bit baffled about what was going on.

Does anyone have a clue?

I sat up and realised that they put me on a table. Really? No wonder my back was crying out for help. Geesh.

I looked around again wondering what to do. I listened carefully and I swore I heard growling and yelling. My eyes widened as footsteps became louder. It was a fight or something happening outside and someone was coming straight towards me. Before I had any time to look for somewhere to hide or to somehow escape, the room door burst open and there in front of me stood a wide-eyed, very rushed but extremely tired-looking, awfully beaten down Matt. Even though he looked like crap, he still looked good.

I gasped in happiness as his scent filled the room and in shock as he was standing right there in front of me. I couldn't believe it. His body relaxed a bit by seeing me.

Pine and chocolate. Mmm.

I hopped down the table and my legs wobbled but before I could fall he grabbed me by my waist and steadied me. The tingles ran up my sides and I could immediately feel the pain in my chest gradually fading.

Without thinking, it was like my hands had a mind of its own as it went to his face tracing the bags under his eyes and feeling his overgrown stubble, then down to his shoulders and his hands. I felt as if I needed assurance that he was real.

"I'm here" He whispered and I immediately stretched up a bit to kiss him.

He gently put his lips on mine and the kiss was so soft as if he was afraid he would break me.

"I missed you so much" I mumbled to him.

"I know, I missed you too. And as much as I would like to stand here and stare at you, I really want to get you back home and have Doctor Davis ensure that my family is in good health" He touched my stomach and I laughed. Gosh it was good to smell him, touch him, kiss him. I had him back. I finally got him back after what seemed like months.
