The weekend passed quite uneventful after my dream super early Saturday morning. I chose to ignore it because after all it was just a dream. I continued with my everyday life as if I never saw this, now, Mystery Man.

It was Monday morning, now, however, and I must admit that I was a bit nervous to see if he would show up in school today. After all it's a new week. He could've probably been sick or something last week.

May and I walked to our lockers, gathered our things and then off we were to our first class, no sight of mystery man. Oh well, guess he's still sick. But I had this feeling that I should go to the cafe. Should I though? I mean, it was just a dream right? What are the chances that he would actually be there? I talked to myself and then inwardly laughed at how crazy I was, thinking he would actually be waiting for me.

3pm. School is finally over and May and I walked out the school together to her car. She always dropped me to work before she goes to her workplace. As we approached her car she got in and started it but I stood outside thinking. I have half an hour before my shift at the hardware starts, I could make it to the cafe and then to work in time. What's the harm in just checking?

"Lils, get in" I was snapped out my thinking session with May shouting at me.

"Actually, I think I wanna go to the cafe to grab a coffee then I'll head to work" I told her. Coffee at 3pm was not a weird thing. Oh, I hope this works.

"Well come on I'll take you to the cafe" she said in her matter-of-factly way. Fuck!

"No it's fine, the weather is great plus I could do with some exercise" I patted my stomach to emphasize, though unnecessary because I only had a bump after I ate food. May rolled her eyes at my stupidity but chuckled anyway.

"Okay fine. But text me when you reach to work so I know you're fine. Or text me if you decide to spend your shift in the cafe instead like what you did the last two times" she said in a strict manner and her face expression backed up her words. Yes! She bought it! Cue happy dance.

"Yes, mom" I rolled my eyes a little and chuckled. She does take care of me like my mom. Well a mom because my parents died when I was a baby. Not a story I want to get into right now.

I watched May pull out of her parking space and then left the school's compound while I also walked out the compound heading the opposite direction. I thought to myself again how stupid I was being hoping to see this man at the cafe. Either I was heads over heels for this boy because of one look or I was just plain dumb. And let me tell you, I think it's the latter.

Who does something just because a dream told you to? I mean, I believe that dreams actually do mean something, but I don't believe that dreams outright tell you do to something. And for someone to tell you to meet them? Nope, you had to be simply stupid to believe that would be true. And by the way my legs were taking long strides towards the cafe; I'm guessing that I am pretty stupid.

I snapped out my internal debate as the air around me began to get chilly signalling that tonight it would most likely rain. Perfect. I realized that the cafe was now visible in my line of sight and my heart decided that it wanted to beat itself out of my chest. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. What if he wasn't there? Or worse, what if he was there? HOLY FUCK WHAT IF HE WAS THERE?? I began having a panic attack right there in the center of the sidewalk by myself. Woo, I needed to breathe.

Deep breath Lils, no need to die on the sidewalk by yourself. My snarly side was out. Geesh. I took a deep breath and convinced my feet to walk forward. As I reached the small car park at the front of the cafe, I put on my confident face and walked towards the entrance of the shop. Do I really want to go in? Hell yeah, I do. I opened the door feeling the cold air condition hit my face making me chillier than before. As I stepped inside, my eyes roamed around the small, cosy cafe feeling the comfort of the both modern-like cafe, with the booths and big glass windows to the right and ancient-looking with the brown couches and complementary gold walls to the left of the entrance. My eyes gazed around a second time looking for a particular face but coming up with no-one.
