Aisaka’s POV
“Ne, do we havefta really go in? Your brother can look over the papers later.” I asked Kei-chan as we stood in front of the Student Council’s entrance.
“That’s being lazy, Aisaka-chan,” Kei-chan replied.
“It’s not being lazy, it’s called procrastinating. Look it u
p.”
“I already know what procrastination is. Though you really do seem to be a master of procrastination” Kei-chan replied earnestly.
“Grr, you really know how to push my buttons…”
“It’s not like I’m trying to.”
“Are ye gaun'ae knock on the door or no?”
“I am… it’s just I’m nervous.”
“A'll just dae it myself then!”
“Chotto matte… I just need to prepare myself mentally. Hopefully, Sis or Shirou-senpai is there. It would make it way easier.” Kei-chan pulled on the sleeve of my uniform.
“Ok but you better hurry I don’t have all day ya’know.” Kei-chan took a deep breath and knocked on the door. After 2.184 seconds Shinomiya-senpai opened the door.
“Can I help you?” She asked when she saw Kei-chan. She clearly didn’t see me because she didn’t have that scowl she always does when she sees me.
“Hello.” Kei-chan bowed.
“Ara, what a cute visitor.”.
“Oh geez, thanks Shinomiya-senpai,” I chimed in while getting in Shinomiya-senpai’s line of sight. Shinomiya-senpai simply ignored me as she said, “I’m the vice president, Kaguya Shinomiya.”
“Ah!.. It's nice to meet you. I’m the middle school Student Council Treasurer, Kei Shirogane.” Shinomiya-senpai then connected the dots that Kei-chan is the Prez’s imouto.
“Is president Miyuki Shirogane out right now?” Kei-chan asked Shinomiya-senpai.
“President is in a meeting to discuss the clubs’ budgets. I don’t think he’ll be back for some time.” Shinomiya-senpai answered.
“Oh, he’s meeting with the clubs?”
“Then where’s my brother at?” I asked Shinomiya-senpai.
“He’s also there with the President as a mediator between the groups.” Nii-san’s the mediator… good luck. If he returns with his self-esteem I’ll let him eat all the pancakes he wants tomorrow.
“I heard that a President who entered the school from outside made a mistake and ended up unable to live so much in Japan.” Kei-chan told Shinomiya-senpai. I’m feeling really left out in this conversation.
“Oh, those rumors are quite exaggerated.”
“Oh… so they’re not true?
”
“Not at all. His father was transferred to Cambodia, that’s all.”
“He was deported!? Huh… I hope he’ll be okay...”
“Don’t worry Kei-chan! As long as Nii-san is with him, I doubt anything bad will happen! My Nii-san is amazing after all!” I reassured her.
“Yes, he’ll be fine. Even if by some wild chance something does happen, I can use my status as a Shinomiya to protect him.”
“Shinomiya…”
