Shirou’s POV

“You wanna do some karaoke after school tomorrow Tatsuo-kun?” Hayasaka asked me one day. Karaoke? The last time I went to do karaoke was with Moeha and the squad. Karaoke with Hayasaka would be nice, but what’s with the offer all of a sudden!? She might try to pull a Kaguya on me and trap me.

“Hm? What's the occasion?” I asked her cautiously.

“One of my friends invited me and she also wanted me to ask you. She also said that you can feel free to bring a friend along with you or whatever.” Hayasaka answered me. Oh, it was an invitation with one of her friends, that makes perfect sense. What was I thinking? There’s probably no way that she would ask me out in the first place. So it was one of her friends, which one of the two of them would it be though? Knowing the two of them based on our brief exchanges it was probably Hinokuchi-san. She seems like a scheming type to me but it might’ve also been Suruga-san. If it was her then it would probably be just for fun or something. She doesn’t seem like one to scheme and plot.

“Which of the two was the one that asked?”

“Huh? It was Hinokuchi? So anyways, do you wanna come?” So it was Hinokuchi-san… this complicates things. She might be plotting something or she might just want to have fun. If I go, I might be walking straight into her trap but if I don’t then… well Hayasaka looks pretty excited about it. If I don’t go I might disappoint her which is something that I want to avoid. I can ask Chujitsu-san if she wants to come along. I can put her to the test if she is what she says she is.

“Sure why not, it’ll be fun!” I finally answered. If she is planning something, I’ll just meet it head-on with Chujitsu-san if she’s available. And if she isn’t planning something then I can go out with Hayasaka, it’s practically a win-win either way!

“Ah really!? Tomorrow’s going to be so fun!” Hayasaka bounced around in joy. She sure does sound happy about it. Seeing her smile puts a smile on my face.

“So what time tomorrow?” I asked her soon after.

“Immediately after school tomorrow!” She answered, still bouncing in joy.

“Alrighty, suddenly I’m looking forward to tomorrow!”

“I bet you are! Well, I’ll see you later Tatsuo-kun!”

“Alright, bye Hayasaka.” With that, Hayasaka practically skipped away in glee. Well now that that’s settled, I need to see if Chujitsu-san is open tomorrow. I got up from my seat and headed to her classroom.

Timeskip

If I’m not mistaken it’s this classroom… I slid the door open and saw some of the other first-years in her class. The other first-years looked at me surprised. I can’t blame them, it’s not every day that a senpai visits your classroom, especially one like me… wait that makes me sound full of myself. Am I becoming an egomaniac?

“Don’t mind me, I’m just looking for someone,” I said after a few moments of awkward silence between the first-years and me. Right after I said that the first-years continued to talk amongst each other and acted like I wasn’t even there. Some of them, of course, were still looking at me astonished. I ignored them and scanned the classroom for Chujitsu-san. After looking around the classroom for a few seconds I saw Chujitsu-san taking a nap at a desk. I walked over to her desk and lightly tapped her on the shoulder to wake her up.

“A few more minutes mooooooooom. Give me a few more minutes…” She slowly swiped her hand at where my hand was touching her shoulder. After doing so she returned to her peaceful nap. Not gonna lie, that was cute. Hayasaka is still the only one for me though.
