CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE
A trip to the city was not something I expected that would start in the morning. Especially with high school kids. I thought we'd be starting in the night. Like how a stroll with Konan would start. But here I was, being led towards the cafeteria to eat our breakfast so we could leave.
The boys were waiting in front of the cafeteria. And despite that they were all dressed casually, something that was rare to see since we were always in our uniform, my eyes went instantly to a certain someone.
His coffee-brown hair was tied in the same way he had always had. But damn.
I'd be lying if I say that casual does not fit him.
The way his shirt clung to his body was something I hadn't expected from a kid. But I felt my mouth went dry at the sight. I sucked a breath as I stopped myself from ogling him further.
Keep calm, Tenten. WTF? You've seen men in hotter clothes than this!
So, what was different?
Why was I reacting to this kid?
I raised a brow once we were near. And I was thankful that I was not the only person to have been rendered speechless. The Hyuga stared at me as I stopped in front of him. He looked at me from head to toe before his eyes snapped back to mine.
I raised a brow in question as I moved my hand to touch my waist sensually yet slyly so that no one else would notice. I saw, more than heard, the Hyuga gulped air as red painted his cheeks and his eyes diverted from me.
I heard a snicker behind me. I glanced over my shoulder and saw Temari and Ino watching us closely. I smirked at them before I poked my tongue out and walked inside the cafeteria. Their snickering turned into a full-blown laugh as they teased the Hyuga who glared at them.
"So, so," I started, biting into my sandwich as each of us settled into the table. "Where are we going?"
"Oh! Oh! Let's go to Ichiraku!!" Naruto proposed, his grin reaching his ears.
Sasuke rolled his eyes at the hyperactive blond sitting opposite him. "We're still eating breakfast, dweeb. And the first thing you've thought is ramen?"
"Nothing beats Ichiraku's ramen!" Naruto defended. His girlfriend, Hinata, nodded vehemently beside him as if to show her support. Which the, as the little Uchiha had called him, dweeb grinned at and gave her a big hug for as thanks.
The fox-like boy was ripped away from the blushing and almost fainting Hinata by her cousin. Naruto lay wasted on the cafeteria floor, having received a beating from the overprotective Hyuga. I rolled my eyes at him before I pulled him back down to sit beside me.
If Hinata hadn't pleaded with me with her eyes, I wouldn't have stopped him.
Naruto's PDA was an eyesore.
"Should we visit the Hokage rock?" Temari started. "The last time I've been there was like ages ago,"
I raised a brow at the name. "Hokage rock? What's that?"
"You've never been there?" Sai asked, staring at me. His girlfriend, Ino, was sitting so close to her I was shocked she wasn't sitting on his lap still. "Like? Never?"
I nodded. "I'm not really from here. And since I came to this school I haven't been outside,"
"Then! We really should go to Hokage rock. It's a big part of our history," Sakura answered as she put a piece of bacon in her mouth. "You'll like it,"
We quickly finished our breakfast as they talked about where to bring me next after the Hokage rock. I ate my breakfast in silence as I ignored the stares we were getting. It was more than normal. I glanced over my shoulder and saw nothing but fellow students looking our way.
