BONUS CHAPTER

BONUS CHAPTER: A PANDA AT THE HYUGA ESTATE (NEJI HYUGA's PoV)

With a sigh, I put the cup down the sink. I didn't see that woman enter while Hinata and I were by the gates greeting guests so I let my guard down. With another sigh, I leaned my waist down the sink counter and looked up at the ceiling. 

This party would be better if their was a certain panda-haired woman in it. I closed my eyes in defeat. There was no way she would be here. With another sigh, I pushed away from the counter and started for the garden once more. I couldn't  very well keep hiding. Sooner or later, uncle would be looking for me. 

I should just deal with that crazy woman once and for all.

After all, I have Tenten. Uncle never expressed any disapproval about our relationship. So, I guess it would be fine to finally say to all those fiancée candidate that  I was not interested one bit. 

Once I was at the garden, there was a small commotion. A small crowd was gathering at the place where I left the gang. With a brow raised, I started for it wishing to all that is holy that it wasn't Yakami Yoko who was making a scene. 

"Who my nephew is dating is my concern," I heard my uncle's voice said as I neared. "But I do not think it is yours, Ms. Yoko. So, what are you really asking here?"

"But why? I thought I would be his fiancée!?" 

I stopped in my tracks. My uncle was involved in the commotion? And they were talking about my relationship? Never in my life did I think I would hear my uncle talk about my relationships in public; especially at one of his party. 

Someone cleared their throat, probably uncle. "Ms. Yoko, I do not think this is  the proper time and place for this,"

"No!" she screeched. "You will explain to me right now," she demanded. 

"As you wish then. I have sent a letter to all my nephew's fiancée candidates that we are no longer looking for one as he had already chosen someone himself. Despite that there are no papers binding us since this 'fiancée' business were still all just talks, we deemed it necessary to in from all parties involve to avoid such embarrassing scenes such as the one you are making right now,"

Yakami Yoko rushed out in a huff. But out of reflex, I hid away from her sight. Once she was gone, I started for my friends once more but my uncle continued to speak.

"Forgive me for this embarrassing scene, Ms. Tenten. I was not expecting this behavior from Ms. Yoko of all people,"

My ears rang. Did he just?

"It's fine, uncle!" a voice so familiar answered. 

It couldn't be. 

I pushed through the crowd. There, in all her leather glory, was Tenten. I stopped on my tracks. Did I accidentally drunk a cocktail and I was hallucinating her? But as all eyes turned to me, I knew I was not imagining her. 

Tenten turned to me with a huge grin. 

"Merry Christmas, Hyuga," she greeted. 

"How? Why?"

"I invited her" my uncle answered for her and I turned to him confused. "Now, I'll excuse myself. Make sure to show her around,"

I nodded in answer as my uncle professionally made the crowd go away. Tenten rushed to my side, linking her arms around mine as she pulled me inside the friend circle. 

"Anyhow, I brought gifts for everyone! Though I had ordered them from online and  I just finished work so don't expect them to be wrapped,"

"Just say you got lazy to wrap them," Uchiha commented and Tenten stick her tongue out in answer. 

"I haven't even finished my Christmas gift list!" Haruno complained while Yamanaka agreed.

"Tenten cheated. No one said it's okay to order online!" Inuzuka and Uzumaki complained as one.

We rolled our eyes at them. "No one said it's not allowed," Tenten answered with a shrug.

As Inuzuka got everyone into a debate whether gifts bought online were sincere, Tenten stood up on tiptoes to whisper in my ears.  

"Yours is in the bedroom," 

Blood rushed to my head at those words. Tenten chuckled, her lips still close to my ear. And shit, did it travel down my body. The soft vibration from her laugh warmed  my entire being. I turned to her slightly and saw that she had a sexy smirk on her lips as she gracefully put the soles of her feet  back on the ground. 

"Why are you so flushed, Hyuga?" Nara asked with a yawn. 

I cleared my throat, uncomfortable to be the center of attention at my current state. I couldn't look anyone in the eyes. Tenten laughed at my side as she made a joke; taking all attention away from me. As everyone took another round of mocktails, I looked down at Tenten who was already staring at me with those eyes I could just drown in. 

"Stop your dirty thoughts, Hyuga. I meant it in the literal sense. Yours is in the bedroom. I asked Hanabi to put it there when she opened the door for me,"

"Is it fun to tease me?" I asked as I rolled my eyes at her. 

"Yeah, it actually is," Tenten answered as she raise her glass up to me. "You better get use to it because I will be doing it for the rest of your life," 

I gave her a smirk as I clinked my glass to hers. "Is that a proposal?" 

Tenten took a sip of her drink before returning my smirk. "I'm not asking you. I'm informing you, Hyuga Neji. I told you that day remember? I don't intend to let  you go. Besides, I've already proposed back then. And you dated me despite that. So, there's no escape for you,"

I laughed as I remember that day. Despite that we were both sitting on the road side curb, both of us covered in blood--that day was precious. 

I put my glass down the tray of a passing waiter and pulled Tenten into my arms. My left hand cupping the side of her face as my right arm snaked around her waist. I leaned in close to her face, 

"I have no plans to run away,"

With those words, I closed the distance between us. Her lips were warm despite the cold, December air. I closed my eyes as I felt Tenten's arms wrapped around my neck. I could hear our friends teasing us and making fun of my public display of affection and how it was so unlike me.

But at that moment, wrapped in her arms, I couldn't care less.

This bonus chapter is a thank you for all those who supported this little fanfic since the start. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing this.

I decided to write a short fanfic of NejiTen once more. It'll be only a couple of chapters. And I'll upload it once I finished it. On another note, I'll be started an original as well.
