CHAPTER NINE
"What are you doing here, again?" I asked for probably the umpteen times.
The brunette sitting by Hinata's desk rolled his eyes at me. "I could ask you the same thing,"
"Duh," I immediately answered, looking at him; asking him with my eyes if he was an idiot. "This is my room, dumb-dumb,"
The coffee-haired boy glowered at me and I returned his stare with the same animosity. I was currently sprawled on my bed, my head propped up with one hand and the other holding the book that I was reading.
After a minute of a stare-off, the Hyūga sighed. "Hinata called me here,"
I sat up from my bed, pulling my legs underneath me. "Still doesn't explain why you're here," I retorted and he scowled at me. "Where is Hinata anyway?"
"How the hell should I know?" he snapped at me before turning around to face the desk.
I closed the book I was holding and threw it at him. The book hit the back of the head of the oblivious brunette. He flinched at contact and turned around. I could see that he was mad as hell. His featureless white eyes were burning as he glowered at me. He stood up from the chair and started making his way towards me. I sat up straighter but hadn't moved away as I kept my own glare.
"Guys! Stop!" a voice suddenly interrupted.
The Hyūga stopped in the middle of the room and we both turned towards the voice. Sakura was sitting on her bed with a scared expression on her face. I gave her a sheepish grin. I had totally forgotten she was in the room. I mentally smacked myself. She had been the one to let Hinata's cousin in.
I stole a glance towards the said cousin. From the looks of his face, which he quickly masked, it was safe to assume he too had forgotten that there was another person in the room. He rolled his eyes and grunted in obvious irritation before he sat back down on Hinata's chair.
I turned back to Sakura who was looking at me with a warning. I raised my brow at her and she mouthed; behave.
My eyes widened in disbelief. I have been on my best behavior, thank you very much. Oh... Wait... Nevermind.

"Giiirrrlllsss! Guess what!?" Ino hollered in delight as she barged in into the room.
But as her eyes took in her surrounding she stopped, causing Hinata to bump into her back. The blue-haired girl fell to the floor with a soft squeak. I saw her look up to see what had Ino frozen in place and her own eyes broaden in shock. Even Temari was in the same state, standing behind the fallen Hinata.
It wasn't like I don't understand why they were stunned. After all, I was on top of the Hyūga; in an almost piggy-bag ride sort of top. He was slightly bent forward due to the force of my jump. I had my arms wrapped around his neck strangling him and his hands were around mine, trying to untangle it. While Sakura was behind me, trying to pull me down from the said man.
Sakura, upon seeing them, quickly ran towards the door, pushed Ino out of the way, and pulled Hinata to her feet. She sighed in relief. "Thank goodness you're back!" Sakura exclaimed, too dramatically if you asked me. "I wasn't sure how long I could keep them from killing one another!"
Hinata seemed to be still too much stupefied at the scene she had arrived in and stared at us with mouth open. But on the other hand, Ino seemed to have already recovered as she stood up from the floor. "Aren't they already killing one another?" she questioned, pointing a finger at the Hyūga and I who were still on the same state when they entered.
