CHAPTER FIVE
"Hinata... Hinata... Hey..." Naruto kept on calling in a whisper, poking Hinata in the back.
It was homeroom. Our teacher was a man with spiky, silver hair. His eyes were dark gray and what was noticeable about him was that his mouth and nose were covered with a mask. And the fact that when he entered the room he was reading a book titled: 'Make-Out Paradise'.
"I... uh... what... what is it... Naru...to?" a soft voice stuttered.
Rolling my eyes at the teacher that was too busy reading about his fantasies up front, I looked to my left to see a furiously blushing Hinata. She was playing with her fingers, unable to look at Naruto. I frowned. What the hell was wrong with her? She wasn't sick earlier nor do I remember her being a stutter.
It seemed like Naruto wasn't satisfied. He stood up from his chair and knelt down on the floor besides Hinata. The blue-haired girl jumped out of her skin.
"Eeek!" Hinata squeaked.
Considering that I was sitting next to her, Hinata accidentally elbowed me in the action. I doubled-over in pain, not one for showing weakness but hell. The girl could hurt.
"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry, Tenten!" Hinata cried in a whisper as she turned to me.
I had one hand holding onto my probably bruised stomach and the other one was resting on my desk. I repeatedly tapped the table as I tried to bring back my breath. Hinata fretting besides me but I ignored her. It had been so long since I was hit that I actually forgot how painful it was.
Once I had calmed down, I straightened up and came face to face with a teary-eyed Hinata. I gave her a smile to say I'm alright but it was probably closer to a grimace. Naruto stood up from the floor and leaned over Hinata to look at me.
Hinata suddenly turned another 50 shades of red as Naruto rested his chin on her shoulder and she jumped up. Naruto flew back, taking down Hinata's desk with him. Hinata's head, on the other hand, collided with my chin.
The force of her attack pushed me back on my chair. My hands flew up to cover my face as I tasted blood in my lips. With another loud bang, I fell to the floor; my chair following after me. Shit. If this was how Hinata is usually, I totally understand where Hiashi's worry is coming from.
I could feel everyone looking at us. But shit, if I wasn't embarrassed by what happened. Me! One of the best of the Akatsuki! Hell, if Deidara and the others were here they'll be laughing their asses off. With a groan, I sat back up. I could feel the blood flowing from my busted lips as I rested my arms on top of my knees to look at Hinata.
She was hunched over; her face hiding in her hands. But the glow of her face was evident. Behind her, I saw a laughing Kiba and Lee helping a clueless Naruto. Temari and Shikamaru rushed to my side. Though the later mostly dragged himself towards me.
"Are you okay?" Temari asked in worry. "What happened?"
I looked around the room. The whole class was staring at us. Even our teacher had put down his book to look. But—he hadn't bothered to stand up. I turned back to Temari and waved my hand up and down in the air in a dismissive manner.
"Nothing. Hinata just suddenly decided to perform a blitz,"
And if it was any possible, Hinata turned another shade of red. She knelt down beside and bowed down as she repeatedly apologized. Something tugged at my heartstrings. But—I patted Hinata's head like how I would to a little sister.
Hinata stopped apologizing as she looked up at me. A smile graces my lips. Though, I had no idea why I was smiling. Hell, I should be angry. But somehow, I can't seem to find any irritation at what happened. "It's all right. I'm far from dying!"
