CHAPTER THREE
I knocked on the door of the principal's office, wishing that someone would still be inside even after hours. Itachi had finished all the paper works needed for my transfer a week ago. I was just dropping by for formalities and information about my dorm. But nobody answered. I knocked again and this time, someone called me in. I opened the door and saw a woman behind a desk full of paper works.
"Uh, good evening?" I greeted, unsure whether to disturb her or not. "I'm Tenten,"
"Oh!" the woman exclaimed. She opened a few drawers on her desk before coming out with a key and a piece of paper. "This is the key to your dorm room and your schedule. I apologize for the mess,"
I took the items out of her hands. "That's okay," I assured her as I looked at the number of folders on the table. I know firsthand how paper works tend to get more out of hand than a mission.
The woman sighed as she returned to her table. "Normally, Lady Tsunade will be the one to brief you about school rules and such but she's currently away. Anyway, my name is Shizune. I'm the secretary,"
I quickly looked over her. She was fair-skinned, average height but was definitely slender. Her eyes were onyx just like her short hair. I watched in amazement though as this small woman in front of me was tackling the paper works in front of her as if it was as easy as breathing.
"So, school cafeteria offers three meals a day. There's no problem if you want to eat out but remember, you can't leave school premises when classes are ongoing. Breakfast starts at 7 am and classes start at 8 am. Lunch is at noon. Dinners usually have fewer people since they can go out by that time but if you're eating at the cafeteria it will be at 8 pm. Gates will be closed at 11 pm except for Fridays and Saturdays when it will be closed at 2 am. And I think that's the gist of it,"
I nodded and thanked her. School rules don't seem that strict. So, everyone was free to come and go? Shizune reminded me not to be shy to come back if I have any questions before I left. But once I was in the hallway, I realized that I should have asked her where my dorm room was. It had been a long day with Hidan and Kisame's childishness and all I wanted at the moment was to crawl into bed.
I glanced down at the key on my hand. 418. It means room 18 on the 4th floor, right? Right? With a shrug, I started making my way towards the dormitory building. I looked up at the stairs I was supposed to climb. That damn room should really be on the 4th floor because I'm really not in the mood to go up and down in search for it.
I quickly fixed the duffle bag behind me, pulling it tighter around me. Then, I picked up my suitcase as if it weighed nothing. I wasn't an Akatsuki for nothing after all. I trained twice as much as the training regimen they set for me. Besides, I had this obsession for weapons. So much that I never left for a mission without filling every pocket, every sheath, and every corner of my body with weapons. Those were enough to be training weights until I could barely feel them anymore.
I was just about to start climbing when a figure started falling towards me from the top of the stairs. I was quick on my feet and easily moved out of his way. It was funny watching his free fall. But on the last second, I reached out a hand and grabbed him on the back of his shirt.
He opened his eyes and a relieved sigh left his lips. He looked back at me with a toothy grin and I saw the moment his eyes widened in disbelief at seeing me. Hmmp, sexist idiot.
"Hey! Naruto! You all right?" someone asked as I heard footsteps coming down from the stairs.
I looked up and saw a boy the same age as me. He has messy black hair, his eyes a vertical-slit that was a sharp black. He had these strange red markings on the side of his face and I could see his sharp canine through the grin he was sporting.
