CHAPTER TWO
"Noooooo!" Kisame cried as he dropped to the floor and wrapped his arms around my left leg. "Don't leave us!"
I was about to take a step when he did that so I groaned when I fell on my knees. But he hadn't let go. Instead, he clung on tighter as I stood up. I looked down at the irritating, older man groveling on his knees. I tried to kick him off but Hidan suddenly grabbed my other leg and wrapped himself on me like Kisame.
I turned to him, eyes wide in shock. "Not you too!" I cried as I tried shaking them off. I've always thought Hidan had more pride than Kisame but I guessed not. I looked up to Itachi for help but he was only standing by the corner with clear amusement shining in his eyes.
Hidan rubbed his face on my leg, causing a shiver to run down my spine. And it wasn't the good kind of shiver. What the hell was wrong with these two?
"Don't leave! If you do, Konan will turn into being a menopausal hag again!" Hidan cried.
The surrounding air suddenly turned thick as a killing aura filled the living room of Itachi and I's apartment. The hair on the back of my neck rose in fear as I looked up. Konan, the blue-haired woman, was standing by the door. Her eyes were dark and deadly. And faster than I could blink, she was already in front of me.
"Who are you calling a menopausal hag, huh?" she asked; her voice low and thick with anger.
I felt the two men on my legs stiffened in fear. Even I got goosebumps. Konan grabbed both men on top of their heads and pulled them off of me with no trouble. She raised her hands, tightening her fingers in their skull to look at them in the eyes.
"You... You heard wrong!" Hidan quickly said as he tried to remove Konan's hand.
"Why me? Hidan is the only one that said that!" Kisame cried; defending himself from the wrath of the woman in front of him.
Konan's lips twitched in irritation. She continued to tighten her fingers on their head until the two men suddenly turned limp. I swore I heard a crack and saw their souls leaving their body as Konan finally released them. They dropped dead to the floor. The older woman turned to me and I took an involuntary step back in fear.
She won't be going for me, will she?
I was instantly engulfed in a big hug; her arms snaking around me like an anaconda's. "I can't believe my baby girl is leaving!" she cried.
I held back my own tears and gave Konan a squeeze. "I'm not really leaving. I'm just going on a mission," and then, I stomped a foot as I rolled my eyes. "Geez, you guys act as if I'm gonna die!"
"Your 'baby girl' is leaving yet you're not against it," Kisame grumbled as he sat up.
Konan pulled away from me as she turned to glare at Kisame. My eyes twitched. How can these people challenge Konan again and again? The woman had never lost a match before. It was suicidal going against her.
"Because unlike the two of you, I still have my pride," Konan stated. "Besides, going down on your knees begging a young girl as you did just proved how much of a pervert you two are. Not to mention, pedophilia. Tenten is still just a baby!"
Three faces turned red at her remark. One was mine.
"I'm not a baby anymore!" I argued. I love them with all my heart but these people act and think like I wasn't growing up.
"Whhhaaaattt? I'll have you know I like my women older than me, thank you very much," Kisame added, though he was blushing still at Konan's comment.
