A Newsies Vacation (Gone Wrong)

Out on the Road, 10:30 am

POV: Narrator

Customwoodburning went liv again. The first thing she said was "shrekscrustyrighttoenail, get my ceiling fan off of your profile and get off my screen, you do not have permission to be inside of my house taking pictures of my belongings. Excuse me, why is there rain on my screen? Shart_sniffer, get off of my screen." Spot and Race decided to buy the jumbo sunglasses to troll her even more. "I-, who did the Jumbo Sunglasses?" She then began tapping her table with her fingernail aggressively for a moment. "Go ahead and raise your hand if that was you. Racetrack_Higgins, I know that was you." She then proceeded to take out a piece of paper and wrote down "#permanentlybanned: shrekscrustyrighttoenail, Racetrack_Higgins, elderlywomanscounter" All of the Newsies were laughing as Racetrack made it to the Log Off List. "If your name is on the list, I will be taking your names to TikTok Incorporated. So that means, elderlywomanscounter, you are being reported and your account will be taken down." They were still able to watch as she had not actually banned them from her liv. "Next caller please. Who are you?" There was a black screen and no audio. "Silent, Silent, Silent, who are you?" There was no response. "Somebody doesn't have much to say, who are you?" She asked for the last time. "Okay..." then she kicked the person off. The last thing she said before ending her liv was "To the person who said I have attitude problems, log off of my liv. Nobody asked for your input. This is not the customer service section of a grocery store." The Newsies were on the road again after 15 minutes.

At 11:30 am, they finally reached the North Carolina border, and the Newsies cheered. They stopped at the NC Welcome Center to use the restroom. When they were done, they found themselves dealing with yet another Karen! The Newsiemobile door was open so they could go in and out while receiving some fresh air. She kept putting her hand up to the Newsies. "Sorry but you're calling me a bitch." Davey said. "Oh I'm SORRY, I'm SORRY ... Calm down! ... My kids got into calling you a bitch! ... They can't hear me because they're listening to Kidz Bop, but i-" "A'right lady, have a nice rest of ya day." Jack said before closing the door. The "Kiz Bop Karen" slammed on the door before walking away.

To finish up the last 3 hours of travel, they watched more of My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. There is a fun song in the show that the Newsies sang along to in unison. "Where's Rebecca Bunch? Where's Rebecca Bunch? Is she out to brunch, No! Then where's Rebecca Bunch?" When they drive down a country road, they find a small rundown store called "Our Little Shop." There appeared to be a dead person sitting on a lawn chair amidst the antiques sitting outside of the store. "Okay! ..." Davey said in exclamation, but also in confusion. 

Finally, the Newsies stopped at McCall's Buffet in Goldsboro around noon, which was a must to keep the tradition. After they got their drinks, they all went up to the buffet together.  Everyone got their plates and began eating. They heard a lady laugh like a witch, so Racetrack, Spot, and Skittery all joked that the Buffet was under a spell.

The Newsies were on the road again about an hour later. At around 2:30, they finally pulled up to the bridge that led to Emerald Isle. "Everyone, hold your breath!" Spot announced. They played a game where they needed to hold their breath for the duration of the time on the bridge in case it collapsed. When they got off the bridge, there was heavy breathing as everyone tried to regain breath. "You needa stop doing that, Spot." Racetrack said, out of breath. Although the house was right off the bridge, Jack needed to get the keys to the house from Emerald Isle Realty. Everyone was delighted to know that they were only a few minutes away from being in paradise.
