A Newsies Vacation (Gone Wrong)

The Newsies' Beach House, Emerald Isle, NC, around 11:15 am

POV: Narrator

Spot Conlon was officially terminated from the New York Times, thanks to the help of Kelson and CNN. He would now be living off the grid for now. Unfortunately, that costed some injuries. Although Kelson suffered less impactful injuries than Davey did, he still was not in the best of shape. "Well, that was a change of a lotta plans." Jack said. "Jake, go ahead 'n let Mary and the rest of his employees know what happened," he instructed. "Jack, I am fine. Please, let me finish my meal at least! I'm starving," Kelson insisted. "A'right, fine. Wait...where is Mary?" Jack said. "Good question, I thought she was here. I mean, she was in the car with us!" Jake said. "I'll send for her anyways, she should be coming here shortly once that's done." he said. "Me and Sarah will carry Davey up to his room and figure out things from there. Sorry for the inconvenience guys, go ahead and enjoy ya lunches." Jack said. They gently carried Davey off the floor while he winced in pain. Jake also helped.

Jack and Sarah had come back downstairs, but Jake had not. "A'right, so Jake will be taking care of Dave." Jack said as he and Sarah had returned. Kelson smiled at the thought. "So, there's something I've been needing to talk to all of you about. I know this isn't the best moment since we're all eating, but I just gotta get it out there." Kelson said. "I am the President of CNN News, and that is the company who I was talking about. We're here on vacation because we heard all about you guys." Jack looked at him in awe. "Dude...that's amazin'. How come you'se hesitated to tell us?" "Well, the truth is, I was a little hesitant to tell you guys about it. I guess we were just worried about how we would approach the most famous news publishing company." Kelson confessed. "Hey, it's okay. I'se understand. At least we's know now we's can talk about anything." Jack said. Kelson and the others were relieved. Suddenly, everyone began to clap as two of the most popular news companies were now collaborating. "This is awesome. You'se really doin' us a big favor here." Jack said. They both then hugged.

12:15 pm

The Newsies and their new allies finished their tasty Hardee's lunch and then began to converse with each other. "Well you guys, I really enjoyed this. But I will have to go check up on Jake and Davey upstairs." Kelson said. "I'll show you where they went!" Sarah said eagerly. "Thanks, Sarah!" Kelson responded. Sarah was about to swoon at the thought of doing something for him. 

"Aww!" Sarah said quietly. Jake and Davey were asleep together in his bed. "Should we wake them up?" Sarah asked. "Nah, let's let them be. They're so cute together. They have really bonded within the past couple of days." Kelson said. "I would love to show you around the rest of the house!" Sarah said excitedly. "Of course! I'd love to!" Kelson responded with a big smile on his face. Sarah was elated at the thought of getting to spend more time with Kelson.

12:45 pm

"And there's the beach!" Sarah finished off as they had just ended the tour. "I like you a lot, you know. You're really funny!" Kelson complimented. Suddenly, Sarah went into a trance and looked like she was about to pass out. "Sarah? Are you okay?" Kelson asked. She then fell backward as if she was going to faint, being caught in the hands of Kelson before she could fall to the ground. It was obvious that this was all too much for her, and she could no longer stand the fact she was becoming friends with her love interest. "Alright, let's get you back inside now." Kelson carried Sarah from the dock where they were into the kitchen. "Woah, what happened?" Jack asked. "Wasn't you guys takin' a tour of the place?" "Yep, we just finished. She was probably exhausted from everything that's been happening lately." Kelson responded. "Do you want to carry her up to her room?" he asked. "No, you'se can, I don't mind." Jack said. "You sure? I mean, she's your girlfriend." "Trust me. You have my permission," Jack smiled knowing. Much like a Prince Charming, Kelson carried Sarah to her bedroom, and tucked her under the covers. He smiled at her, knowing she was in love with him. Kelson's feelings for Mary were suddenly just disappearing then. He and Sarah now had mutual feelings. He had the ultimate desire to get in that bed with her, but morally he knew it was wrong. Kelson decided to go back downstairs anyways.
