POV: Narrator

Jack's funeral was held privately at Saint Mildred's in Swansboro, NC, because of COVID restrictions. It was live streamed everywhere, including it airing live on CNN as well as the New York Times website. Over 5 million people worldwide were watching. The Newsies, now including Kelson, Jake, and the rest of the CNN crew, gave their dear friend a proper final goodbye as he was sent off back to New York, where he would be buried on the site of the New York Times building.

One night, when Kelson and Sarah were saying goodnight to each other in his beach house, Sarah went to bed in her own respective bed, as did Kelson, to establish their boundaries in honor of Jack. However, that changed quickly in Sarah's dream. When she fell asleep, she was suddenly in a space of white clouds. She saw Jack walking up to her. "Jack, is that you?" Sarah ran up and hugged him in her dream. "Hey, I couldn't leave my girl unvisited! How's you been?" Jack said. "Am I dead?" Sarah asked. "Pffsh, no! I just came here in your dreams to visit ya, and to tell you somethin' very important." Jack said. "Sarah, I love you so much, and I want you to be happy even though I know you think someone else out there is more important than me," Jack said. "So, what are you saying?" "I'm sayin', that I give you my blessing to be with Kelson. You guys don't need to pretend to be friends anymore. Go get married, have kids, and live life! I'll be watching over you'se every minute. I'd never let anything harm or get in the way of you two. Kelson's a good guy, he has a warm heart, and he cares deeply for you." Jack said. "Oh, thank you so much, Jack!" Sarah said, hugging him in her dream. "I know, I do love Kelson now, but you will always be in a special place in my heart. I love you, Jack." "I love ya, too." They kissed, and suddenly, Sarah's dream ended. She woke up, knowing her dream wasn't a joke. Sarah went to Kelson's room and woke him up. "Kelson, wake up!" Sarah said. "Hey, what is it?" He asked. Sarah explained to Kelson about the wonderful dream she just had. Kelson was reluctant at first, knowing Sarah might just want to be together with him, regardless of Jack's thoughts, if he was still out there watching over them, but he decided he and Sarah's bond together was all based on trust, so he ended up accepting that fact. Sarah was then pushed into Kelson's bed by something, and at first, she was concerned but realized it was a sign for her to do what she had been wanting to do over one and a half weeks ago. Be Kelson's girlfriend. They french kissed and ended up doing it in his bed that night, shaking the whole entire beach house. The Newsies wondered what all the ruckus was. It turns out, Jake and Davey were also adding to some of that ruckus in Kelson's beach house as they also were sleeping in the same bed.

This is where our story ends. A lifelong tradition can always come to the unexpected. The Newsies were now closer than they ever have been before, Jack died, and now, they welcomed CNN as a part of them. You may have noticed that the "POV" for most chapters has said "Narrator," but who really am I? The truth is, that it is me, Kelson, who has narrated this entire story to you. This isn't one you hear every day, and our story needed to be shared with the rest of the world. In an age like this, you have to start picking out who you trust. I made that same mistake being with Mary, and it nearly cost me my own life. But in the end, just know that there's always hope. Well, I must go now, to finish packing with Sarah and our son for this year's beach trip.
