Kelson's Beach House, Emerald Isle, NC, 9:30 pm

POV: Narrator

In no time, the lucky quintet was inside Kelson's beach house, which Sarah ever so longed to go in, thanks to the credit of her brothers who helped her along the way. Little did they know how much they would talk that night. "Oh my, awesome place you've got here!" Sarah said excitedly. "Very elegant, how can you afford a place like this at your age?" Davey asked, impressed. "Eesh, let's just say I worked a lot of hard days and nights to get to where I am today." he said. Kelson set down Les on the sofa in their great room and put the blanket resting on the edge over him. "Erma gerd! I love how you handled Les, you'll make an amazing father one day." Sarah exclaimed. "Looking forward to when that day will come." Kelson said, kissing Mary again. "So, how have things been going with you and this coronavirus?" Davey asked, as they all sat on the couch together. "Oh, so far we haven't really been affected. We left in the nick of time, too. The company I own, all the workers were quarantined yesterday!" Kelson said. "Not good, I'm the Vice President of the New York Times so we kinda have the same situation too." Davey said.

A tall, 6'1 young man about the same age as Kelson who was blonde and had a short but styled hairdo then walked up to them from a hallway. He looked delighted to see the three guests. "Hello! Who might these lovely guests be?" he questioned. "Jacob! Meet Davey, Sarah, and Les, who is sleeping. They are all siblings, and they are part of the group staying in the house next-door!" Kelson said. "Great pleasure to meet you all. The New York Times, correct?" Jacob asked. "Yeah, and I love it!" Davey responded. "Wonderful to hear! Please call me Jake by the way. I serve the same role you do for CN-" Kelson then coughed loudly. Jake looked at Kelson and proceeded to speak. "I am also a Vice President for his company, very cool thing we share!" Jake said. "Oh yeah, Vice Presidents forever." Davey responded. "Well, I'll be heading off to bed now, goodnight you all!" Jake said. Everyone responded with "Goodnight!" as he went off into the hallway and up the staircase.

11:00 pm

The whole time, Sarah was staring at Kelson, looking into his eyes while he and Davey were the main ones conversing. Mary soon caught onto the idea that Sarah was attracted to her man, and she wouldn't buy that. "Cutie pie, it's late. We gotta get to bed!" Mary said while tugging his arm. "Holy shit, yeah. Well, it was neat meeting you guys. I know we'll see each other soon." Kelson got up and said, as the others followed. "Hey, why don't we get contact info?" Davey said, winking at Sarah. "Sure!" Kelson said, and they did, while Sarah was beyond excited. She was the only there one who wasn't tired. "Oh yeah, and one thing, the rest of our group is planning to meet you tomorrow in front of your house because they want to know you," Davey said quietly to Kelson. "Alright, thanks for giving me a heads up. It'll be nice to meet the rest of the NY Times staff!" he said. "Give or take, most of them are a little strange," Davey responded. "I'll message you when everything is gonna go down," he added. "Sounds good. Have a goodnight guys!" Kelson said. Davey picked up Les and set the blanket down and slumped him over his shoulder. "Bye!!" Sarah said excitedly as she shot Mary a dirty look. Mary returned that look to her. The three of them, with Les on Davey's shoulder, exited the beach house through the french door and came out the same way they came in.

When they got back to the house, the lights were all off except for the small kitchen light, and Davey cautiously opened the french door and led Sarah in. They quietly leaped up the stairs, and Davey took Les to his bedroom and tucked him in before kissing him goodnight and shutting the door quietly behind him. Davey then took Sarah to her room where she hugged him tightly and thanked him for one of the best nights she'd had in a while. They then kissed, and Davey exited her room to go to his. Just as he was about to do so, he was pulled into the bathroom by someone, and the door immediately slammed shut and the light flicked on. The door slam was not too loud though because of the air that was pushed through. "What the hell were you thinkin'?" It was Spot.
