The Beach House (Yay!), Emerald Isle, NC, 2:45 pm
POV: Narrator
After Jack got the keys to the house, they were on their way to where the house was. The Newsies admired the palm trees on the isle that made it feel like any vacation. The Newsiemobile turned onto Coast Guard Road, then another side road. The Beach House was straight ahead. The Newsiemobile pulled into the driveway, Jack put the gear into park and turned off the engine. The Newsies were excited to finally begin their vacation under the same circumstances amidst the corona.
Jack got up from the driver's seat and Davey handed him the list of bedroom assignments he worked on during the drive. "A'RIGHT BOYS. I want you'se to follow me to the side door. We's gonna load the elevator with our bags and send them up to the floors. There's gonna be different loads depending on what floor ya on, you'se know when we get to the elevator. Then, I want you'se to go to the front door and find ya room." Jack liked to keep things organized so everything went smoothly. Everyone grabbed their luggage and exited the Newsiemobile. The Newsies lined up against the side door as Jack unlocked the side door. "HEY, JANICE!" A woman shouted from across the street. Everyone looked back to see a woman zooming on a lawnmower down the sidewalk. Jack turned around and rolled his eyes.
Next door, was a big beautiful teal-colored beach house. Coincidentally, the people who lived there were also unlocking their doors at the same time. A very kind-looking, handsome but rather young man, looked over and noticed them. He had brown hair with the sides trimmed and the top curled, much like Davey's hairstyle. A young lady was next to him, who the Newsies presumed to be his wife, looked very eager and excited to be with him. "Hello!" the young man said politely from all the way over. "Good Afternoon, kind sir!" Jack shouted back in reply. The young guy returned his reply with a bright smile on his face. "He seems like a nice guy," Davey said. "Ya know what, he does. It's a good thing to know that we'll have kind neighbors. Sure does look like a nice house, 'specially for his age." Jack said. Boy, he sure was right when they didn't know what would soon come for them. "Yeah, and a lucky chic, too." Racetrack added. He then proceeded to unlock the door, and everyone anxiously went inside. There was a strong pungent smell of what a new house smells like as they walked in. Davey was at the front door of the Beach House to unlock that one as he would be sleeping in the room on the main floor.
Spot and Racetrack teamed up against the elevator and ran up the flight of stairs in an attempt to get there before the elevator did. They fortunately won, and they took their bags to their rooms. After Racetrack and Spot put their bags in their rooms, they ran around the house to check out all the rooms. "Hey, Spot! There's a sauna here!" Racetrack said. "Cool!" He responded. Spot shoved Racetrack into the dark sauna and locked the door, then left the scene. A few minutes later, Racetrack was able to pick the lock and get out. He was able to find Spot, and they fought each other before exploring even more. "I found ourselves a pool table!" Spot shouted. "'Ey, wait for me! I'm comin'!" Racetrack shouted back. Not long after, everyone was finished unloading their luggage into their rooms
