A Newsies Vacation (Gone Wrong)

Mary and Spot's Hideout, Emerald Isle, NC, 10:45 pm

POV: Narrator

Suddenly, Law Enforcement was notified that there was a bomb threat right exactly where the 1 Magnolia Moon was, the Newsies' Beach House. They did worry, but not too much until Sarah spoke up. "Wait, Jake told me Kelson went back there after he got hurt in the process of saving me. YOU HAVE TO GO GET HIM, HE'S GOING TO DIE!" Sarah screamed. They came to the frightening realization that Kelson was the only one there, and they still did not know where Mary was, which only meant one thing. Mary was with Kelson at the Beach House, doing who knows what and was about to detonate a bomb in front of him.

"Sarah, stop, and look at me." Jack said while putting his arms on her shoulders, standing in front of her. "There's nothin' more we's can do for him. I understand you love him a lot, but we's can't be riskin' our lives for somethin' we know will end up in one of us being dead." Jack attempted to reason with Sarah. "I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE!!" she cried in Jack's arms. 

11:00 pm

"Mr. Kelly, we've neutralized the explosive device. You may go over there as you please, followed by Law Enforcement," one of the officers in charge said. "Thanks for all you do. You've all been a really big help." Jack responded. With that being said, Sarah ran into the direction of where the  Beach Houses were. She was in front of both Kelson's and the Newsies' within two minutes. She was desperate to look for Kelson, when suddenly, she spotted what appeared to be a body lying in the road. As she ran closer, her heart beating faster than it ever has before, she saw it was a gray patch of curly hair from her angle of view. 

It was Kelson.

Within 25 seconds, she was by his side, sobbing and weeping, wondering why he had been brutally attacked like this. Sarah let out a horrid scream when she saw his body. Kelson's body was completely destroyed. His eyelids looked completely done for, there were bruises and scratches all over his face, his nose and lips had wide gashes of blood over them, and his neck had a dark ring around it, meaning he was probably choked. The only thing intact was his outfit, which Sarah used to cry on. After a few minutes, she got up on her knees, and began to pull on his button shirt, pulling him up and down aggressively, angry that this happened to him, and wanted him to come back to life. It wasn't working.

Sarah felt the presence of someone behind her. She turned around and stood up, realizing it was Mary. Mary stood with her arms crossed with a disgusted face at her. There, Sarah stood in front of her worst enemy. "Why would you hurt this poor, innocent, boy? What the fuck did he ever do to you?" Sarah said quietly, saving her rage for later. "Let's just say my plan kinda worked out. You see, Sarah, people nowadays do desperate things for desperate measures. For me, that was taking over this company and your company for the money. Your lover boy would've been next after this loser." Mary said. "DON'T CALL HIM THAT, you stupid whore." Sarah responded. "I never even loved Kelson, I just got all his love and trust from showing him love and affection. It wasn't that hard. Now, you're the only thing standing in my way of what needs to be done, so sit your ass down bitch." Mary said. She then pulled out the detonating device. Sarah realized that Mary wasn't aware that the bomb was neutralized, and internally, she was laughing. "We both, along with poor little Kelson, may end up dead after the press of this button, but it doesn't matter anymore. I've caused enough turmoil in your two companies. This trip was a death sentence for us all anyways!" Mary said. "So say goodbye to you, and your stupid little friends." She pressed the button.

Nothing happened.

Suddenly, an officer along with Jack appeared behind Mary. "Maryann Gilliam, you are under arrest for..." the officer handcuffed Mary while stating the offenses she committed and her rights. Then, all of the Law Enforcement just appeared out of the bushes from the side streets, and within a few minutes, all the Newsies were with Sarah now. She continued to weep over Kelson. Jack lied down next to Sarah, also saddened by the sight. Suddenly, all the Newsies surrounded them. Jack checked for a pulse from Kelson, and he could feel a slight pulse. He decided not to let anyone except the Newsies (not including Sarah) know that he was secretly alive. He was just in an unconscious state.
