Before we even get to our table I hear a voice from this foreign creature of walking unpredictability named Hannah, "Do you want to talk about it here or later at the hotel?"

"Hotel," I cough bluntly, as I'm pulling out the chair to take a seat. "Oh, okay, sure, whatever you'd like," She responds. While still standing she never breaks eye contact with me once. I look away, not only because I feel weird, but also to signal for her to please sit down with me.

A waitress brings out menus, "How are you two this evening? Did you get a chance to check out our specialty drinks for tonight—" "I'll take a whiskey on the rocks, please." Hannah interrupts with a tilted head and soft smile. Sure, she knows how to look cute doing it, but it's kinda pissing me off that she's been interrupting everyone today. I squint over at the board that lists all the specialties, and order, "Can I please try "The Heartbreaker"?" The waitress replies with a smirk, "Sure, if you think you can handle it. If you can't, I'll just have to finish it for you." She spins and disappears with a smirk on her face. Hannah sees this and busts in, "You know, I still remember what you said about me only two hours ago at the shack in the desert. Or, does the desert heat change you into a different person, hmm? Was I forgotten about already?" I know she's joking, but I also sense some genuine anger and insecurity in her voice. I decide to play with her a bit since she's absolutely rocked my world for the last two days, in every emotional extreme possible. I say, "Yeah, I'm not sure who you are actually. You just wandered into here and rudely pulled out the chair at my table. Care to introduce yourself?" I lean in close and plant my elbows into the table, using my knuckles to prop my head up. "Sorry for being oh so very rude," Hannah says, with the most endearing yet playful eyes. She follows my lead and leans in closer, putting her mouth up to my ear, "I couldn't help myself when I walked in and saw someone looking like this-" Before she even finishes pronouncing the word "this", her tongue is faintly tracing my ear. She plants a gentle kiss on my cheekbone, then pulls away slowly. "I'm Hannah, it's a pleasure to meet you."
