Bakugo POVIt's been at least 3 hours sitting in this chair, waiting. I just sit and watch the other patients, nurses, and doctors walk by. No one has come with info on Izuku. Why? When I found him, it didn't look like anything was life-threatening. But then again, I wasn't really looking at his injuries, just that he was alive and back in my arms. But now he's not. Now he is somewhere in this building, away from me.
I move my focus to the passing people and turn my head to look upon the 7 chairs taken up by the rest of Izuku's family. Respectively down the line away from me: Ryo looked like he was in shock, Daisuke looked anxious while biting his nails, Kenta looked ready to pass out in exhaustion, Susumu looked prepared to cry, Hiroshi looked like he was on the verge of a panic attack, and finally, Makoto looked composed but in anticipation of any news. Senjin sat farthest from me, and he was constant in a call with someone new every 20 minutes. First, he called Inko, who said she would be here in the next hour, then he contacted fellow managers, head-staff, and the company head, who thought of Izuku as the son he never had.
(I mean, come on, I think we all will agree that Bang Si-hyuk sees all of the boys as his sons)
Flashback to when the others showed up
Third POV
As Bakugo sat in the waiting room, a group of 7 men was running through the entry halls, looking for the lover of their youngest companion. Ryo ran up to the front desk, asking for Izuku Midoriya. When he was given a negative answer of no current update, Makoto noticed the blond in the waiting room and ushered the others toward the sitting pro hero. When the group came upon the lowered blond head, Susumu tapped his shoulder. Katsuki perked his head up expectantly, hoping to deflate when noticing who it was.
For the next half hour, the older idols questioned the younger hero on the condition of their youngest and what happened on the mission. With the bombardment of questions, Bakugo decided to explain everything in simple terms, "I don't know Izu's current condition; no one has come to tell me yet. The mission went fine; all of the villains were beaten to a pulp and arrested. I found Izuku still tied to the chair from the video, but he had a lot of cuts and burns on his body."
At the description of their youngest's hell, the members looked ready to either cry, puke, go down to the police station, and beat Shigiraki on their own, or all three. However, they decided to not do that. They simply sat in the row of chairs next to Bakugo and waited alongside him. Over the next hour, they would fidget, whisper concerns and reassurances to each other, and ask for more details of the mission from Bakugo. It was gonna be a long night.
End of Flashback
Bakugo POV
I looked at the watch that Izuku had gifted me on my last birthday, 7:48. Wh- "Izuku Midoriya?" My head perks up as a doctor comes towards our group. "Are you 8 here for Mr.Midoriya?" "Yes!" We all exclaimed, "Is he all right/ what happened / can we see him / is he alive?" We all fired off questions toward the doctor, who was slow getting overwhelmed. He held up his hand to halt the bombardment of worried questioning.
"He is fine and resting. From what I was told, he has gone through a lot, so his body is in a comatose state that should only last a few days. His body has to catch up to his mind. Also, he came in with many cuts to his arms and legs, so I would suggest not letting him do any walking or lifting for at least a month or two. Aside from that, his vocal cords seem overexerted, so he may have a sore throat and a hard time talking for a couple of weeks, but it's not permanent. Other than that, he seems just fine. He will need support from all of you as he is healing. Going through something like what he went through will usually leave more mental scars than physical."
The doctor bid us farewell after telling us that Izuku was in a private room, #274 and that visiting hours ended around 10:30 pm. We thanked him and rushed to Izuku's room. Upon entering first, I saw Izuku lying on a hospital bed, asleep and wrapped in bandages. It caused tears to prick my eyes, but I didn't let them fall. I continued my stride into the room to get closer to Izu and let everyone else into the room. I didn't have to look to see or hear the others come in. It was apparent when gasps of shock and whimpers of sadness accumulated and voiced behind me.
I sat in the visiter's chair, pulled up alongside the patient bed, and just stared at Izu while trying not to let my tears fall. It probably wasn't working, though, because Susumu appeared in front of me before bending down and hugging me, whispering to me to stop holding my tears back. That was the stone to break the dam, and I pushed my head into his shoulder and cried out all of my anxieties and burdening thoughts.
Susumu POV
When we entered Izu's room behind Katsuki, we were all in shock at what we saw. Our sweet maknae that we hadn't seen for half a month was unconscious and wrapped from feet to chest in pearling white bandages. I could see Hiroshi and Daisuki start bawling while clinging to each other, and Ryo dropped to his knees. My hyungs simply stared at Izu's sleeping figure with wide eyes that showcased their shock. My eyes followed Katsuki as he fell to a chair like a bag of bones and just stayed silent.
I knew that everyone had been dealing with the kidnapping differently, but I don't think any of us considered how Katsuki was handling this. I could see the dark circles rimming his eyes, and I could hear the worry and exhaustion in his voice. I could see he wasn't crying, but I could see his shoulders shake with each breathe. He was holding back. Why? I don't know. Maybe to appear professional or composed, maybe his pride, perhaps he was just too emotional to cry, or possibly he was embarrassed. There were a lot of maybe's, but whatever the reason for his holding, he couldn't hold back forever.
I walked over to him and hugged him, letting him know it was alright to cry and let out his worries. And so he did. He cried and pleaded for Izuku to be okay and wake up; he voiced his hurting fears and let it all out. I could see the others looking over at Katsuki and me, but I simply shook my head, silently telling them that I had it handled. I glanced down at the crying blond in my arms and smiled. Izuku would be just fine because he has a strong support team, not just through the members and ARMY, but within the crying boy that would fight tooth and nail for the ones he loved.
