Katsuki POV

It's been 2 days already and Izuku hasn't sturred. The doctors said that he was all healed and that he could wake up at any time. I sat in the chair and just watched as Izuku's chest rose and fell. I heard the door open behind me, but I didn't focus on who came in. I just sat there watching. I just wanted to soak up the image of my boyfriend that I hadn't seen for 2 weeks. Being able to watch his breaths and hold his hand grounded me. It gave me a sense of reassurance that he was safe and back where he belonged; away from the danger.

"Hey, Bakubro. How are you holding up?" I turned my gaze to Shitty Hair who had entered the room and had taken a seat in the chair next to me. "I'm fine as long as he's fine" I muttered, gripping Izuku's hand tighter. Shitty Hair was quiet for a little while, simply staring off into space and watching Izuku. We sat in silence, the only noise being the heart monitor that had the constant rhythmic beat that showed that Izuku was alive.

"You should go home and take a break." I turned my head and looked at him like he was crazy. Shaking my head I huffed out with a tired breath, "I can't go. What if he wakes up and I'm gone. What if he freaks out when he wakes up and I'm not here to help him. What if when I leave, he gets taken again!" I start to panic. Shitty Hair grips my shoulders tight and orders me to focus on him. My breath keeps catching and coming out in pants. I can't focus on anything other than my thoughts and my breathing. That is until there is a tightening grip not on my shoulder, but on my hand that was still holding Izuku's.

All of a sudden the room is silent again as Bakugo stops his panic and holds his breath, eyes focus on Izuku, whose eyes began to twitch. When Shitty Hair saw what I was focused on and realized what was happening he quickly stood and said that he would inform the nurses. I didn't pay him any attention though, it was all directed at Izuku.

Third POV

As Kirishima rushed out the door to let the nurses know, Bakugo began to talk to the waking idol. "Hey, Zuku. You gotta wake up. Please. For me, my love. Just open your eyes." He continued to beg Izuku to open his eyes and see for himself that he was safe. After a few minutes, Izuku's eyes did in fact open, however, the jade didn't sparkle with life. They were dull and unresponsive. After Izuku had opened his eyes Katsuki had promptly burst into tears of relief and the doctor rushed in a moment later.

The doctors checked the boy over, bringing him to a sitting position. They confirmed that he was physically alright but were concerned with his mind as he didn't have any slight reaction to their prodding and questioning. Katsuki thanked them and looked at Izuku before opening his phone and calling Ryo and Inko. The two calls were very emotional, ending with both parties saying that they were heading to the hospital right away.

After ending both calls, Katsuki went and sat next to Izuku again. They sat in silence, one staring at nothing and the other staring at his everything. The silence lasted a half-hour before the door was basically broken down. A mass of arms and legs fell through the entry and landed in a heap on the floor, before untangling themselves and forming 6 idols. The group quickly made their way over to the bed where Izuku sat and in their excitement to see their little brother awake, didn't account for the dullness of his eyes.

They all talked over each other, creating a cacophony of voices. They all bombarded the boy with questions and exclamations. However, when the boy in subject didn't respond back, they all quieted down and took a moment to actually look at Izuku's appearance. They noticed how dull their maknae's eyes were and how pale his completion seemed to settle to. Izuku may have woken up, but he was still not out of the woods.

The members looked at Katsuki for an explanation and as he opened his mouth to respond the door was once again slammed open. But this time it was a single lady with long green hair that entered. She looked to be half composed and half hysterical. Worry creased her eyes and questions of her son's wellbeing flowed out of her mouth. She entered the room and directed her gaze to the boy who took after her in all but her gender. She rushed toward him, just like the group of idols had done only 10 minutes before, and hugged him tightly. She was scared that he would disappear again.

When Izuku didn't reciprocate her loving gesture, Inko looked at her son in confusion. Seeing that he was unresponsive and held a blank look, she turned to Katsuki in worry. "He's been like this since he woke up" Katsuki explained saddened. "The doctors say that there isn't anything wrong medically but physiologically he suspects that Izuku is going through a lag of comprehension from trauma." Katsuki looked close to tears as he explain what the doctor told him, and the rest of the room's occupants weren't much better.

"So how can he come to a full comprehension and begin to heal mentally?" Hiroshi questioned. Katsuki looked back at Izuku, "The doctor said the best bet was to wait it out and let him come to an understanding on his own without so much force, but he also said that being constantly surrounded by support can help in the progress. I don't really know what to do in order to help him other than sitting here and talking to him. I'm just so fucking done with all of this. I just want- I want to talk him home and just relax away from all of this trouble." Katsuki began to tear up because of his exhaustion and frustration.

Katsuki was wrapped in hugs and reassurances that Izuku would pull through. The pile of hugs became a comforting pile as each person comforted the next, relaxing nerves and anxieties. For now, they would watch out and hope for the best. They would support Izuku through this hurdle of pain. They all knew that in the darkest times, a light would always shine through to the end if support was provided. They would be that support and help Izuku through his tunnel of darkness.
