WHEN WE MET HER

CHAPTER 12

Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko. Seeing someone weak is just a different feelings. Madalas mo kasi silang makitang masaya or masigla kaya kapag malungkot at nadudurog sila parang ang hirap makita

"I'll survive, right?" he asked me while eating his ice cream. Wala akong magawa para sa kaniya kaya naisipan kong bilhan siya ng ice cream dahil baka ma-release niya yung hinanakit niya in that way

"Of course, you will! I'll be here" I smiled at him making him giggle "Oh, you smiled! I'm glad this method still works"

"My brother was there earlier. He's just afraid mom would see him and turn her decision down"

Now, I understand. Maybe not everything but at least I know something now. Jake was distant from her mother since he knows that her mom was just longing for his brother

Simula kasi noon ay layo na talaga sa kanila ang kapatid niya. And of course as a mom you will literally miss your son who's far from you

"Mahal na mahal siya ni Mommy. As in, so much. Before my brother went abroad, she was mean to me and when my brother leave us she became close to me. She always want me to be with her all the time"

"Are you regretting that you never get a chance to be with her?" I asked. I just think of that since I know how that thing feels

"No. It was my choice, I must not regret it"

Sa condo ko siya hinatid. Hindi niya kasi dala ang kotse niya at nagpahatid lang daw siya sa kaibigan niya. Ayaw din niyang umuwi sa mansion nila dahil alam niya raw na nandoon ang kapatid niya

Kailangan ko pang bumalik sa office dahil may trabaho pa ako roon. Baka magtaka ang mga ka-office mate ko kung bakit palagi akong wala kapag wala rin si sir Jake. They might think something is fishy between us

As soon as I got back at my office I immediately started my works so I'll be able to finish everything early. I want to spend my time relaxing, there's so much on my head right now

I finished everything at 4PM. It wasn't that late to travel from here to Batanggas since it was just an hour travel if you're using a private transportation. There's where my safe place was.

Sinabihan ko na si Karia na pupuntahan ko siya roon. I won't stay for too long though, I still have work tomorrow.

"What is it?" She asked. Nandito kami sa isang place sa tagaytay. The view here was literally so nice

"Wala.. Ang dami kolang masiyadong iniisip nitong mga nakaraan"

"Dahil kay Jake?"

"What? Of course not! Ang dami kasing nangyayari. I mean, alam ko namang hindi ako dapat nangingialam sa buhay niya. I just don't understand why am I so affected"

She sighed. Hindi niya rin siguro alam ang maaaring sagot sa tanong ko. Jake's mom seem to be someone I know but I can't remember how

How is it possible? Paanong parang magka-kilala na kami pero hindi naman talaga? Para bang nakita ko na siya sa isang lugar o kung saan man pero hindi ko maalala kung bakit parehas kaming nandoon

Karia and I drink our coffees while chatting. Sobrang dami kong gustong sabihin sa kaniya gaya ng rants pero kulang na ang oras namin. Madami rin siyang sinabi sa'kin tungkol sa school since nagaaral pa rin siya

I'm so jealous of her. She can live like a normal student. I never experienced that. Going to school early and being pick up by your parents. I always want to know how that feel

Umuwi na rin ako ng maihatid ko siya sa bahay nila. Atleast kahit papaano ay nabawasan ang stress ko. Safe place ko si Karia. She's out leader t'saka mas marami na siyang alam tungkol sa ganito
