7 | Spark of Two Swords

Chapter 7.

Madilim na ang paligid nang marating namin ang harap ng Detention Guild. Nandoon narin ang pangkat ni Syrene. Tumingin ito sa akin at pinantayan ko ang mga titig nito.

Naputol lamang ang titigan namin nang marinig ang boses ng lalaking pinakaayaw kong makita sa loob ng Akademya.

"Good that both of the bonds are now here," he started looking at the dark grills in front of us.

"Syrene's Bond," he looked at the other group. "Get ready, and Sapphire's Bond," he looked at us. "Just follow my order," he finally said.

What order? Tss, there's no official order when it comes to life and death.

Maya-maya pa ay may mga nakaitim na lumapit sa amin. Ibinigay ng mga ito ang mga espada, pana at kung ano-ano pang sandata.

A sword with a golden holder caught my attention. Seems like I've seen it before. I picked it and began to looked at it as if we were linked together. Like we are one. I can feel the sword. I can heard it's voice. The sword is mine.

"This... sword," I said. Kael looked at me with his emotionless face. "Who owned it?" I asked.

Everyone looked at me unbelievably. Parang nahiwagaan sila sa katanungan ko.

No one dared to answer me.

"I said who owned it?" May pagkamariing tanong ko.

Kael stepped forward towards me and stared directly at my eyes.

"Stop asking nonsense questions," he said. And his answer made me feel annoyed. What the heck? Pinaglololoko ba nila ako?

Upon he turned his back at me I uttered the words that made his hand trembled and formed into a fist.

"I am the owner of this sword," I firmly said.

Nanginig ang mga kamay nito. Sigurado ako. Tumahimik din ng panandalian ang atmospera.

Napukaw lamang ang katahimikan ng biglang may malakas at malalim na tunog ang umalingawngaw sa loob ng selda (Detention Guild.)

"Ah!" Pagsigaw ni Missy maging ng ibang kasamahan ni Syrene.

Lumapit ako kay Missy at pinakalma siya.

"'Wag kang mag-alala Missy. Makakalabas tayo ng ligtas," paninigurado at pagpapakalma ko rito.

"Syrene Magenda, Lotus Miana, Kezley Morgan, Izy Misha. You may now go on your positions," Kael commanded.

Naglakad naman papalapit sina Syrene at ang mga kaibigan nito sa nakausling malalaking tipak ng bato malapit sa harap ng selda. Pumatong sila sa kaniya-kaniya nilang posisyon.

"Sapphire Lilan, Yera Lystica, Missy Larcia and Magdalene Mijares. Now on your position," seryosong saad ni Kael. Diretso lamang ang tingin nito sa harap.

Naglakad na kami papunta sa aming posisyon. Umapak narin kami sa kaniya-kaniya naming bato na pagtatayuan.

A horn suddenly occupied the area. Masakit ito sa tenga pero 'di ako nagpasindak. Nanatili akong nakatayo at nakatitig sa harap.

I heard someone shouted help. I knew that it was Missy. Bababa na sana ako sa kinatatayuan ko upang puntahan si Missy but an arrow suddenly shoot me out of nowhere. Buti na lamang ay mabilis ko itong naiwasan.

I looked at Kael who's madly looking at me. His eyes were telling me to stood still and do not move.

I formed my fist out of anger. Kontrolado nila kami, pero 'di ako papakontrol sa loob ng selda na 'to.
