9 | Trust Is Chaos

Chapter 9.

I am holding Sapphire's hand right now. And at this moment, I realized one thing.

We are not ready to hold our duty as the Evening Deities.

Nakalulungkot isipin na mas malala ang sinapit ng mga kasamahan ko kumpara sa grupo ni Syrene.

Pero kung tutuusin, gaya nga nang sinabi ni Kael. Bihasa na sina Syrene sa ganitong bagay. And me, with my bondmates, are just a newbie.

I looked at the window at tinanaw ang statue na para sa mga bampira. A sculpture made by the combination of pure black diamond and granite. I remembered that man, I began reminiscing the moment we were saved from that mysterious guild.

"S-sino ka?" I asked this man named Trevor as he held my waist and helped me and Sapphire get out of the darkness.

He looked at my eyes with no emotion at all. Nakatitig lamang ako sa kaniya.

"Hold on, you're safe now," he said instead of answering my question.

I nodded and walked through out the guild.

Pagkalabas namin ay sinuri ko kaagad ang kalagayan ni Sapira.

"We need to save Sapphire. Please, save her," nanghihina kong saad kay Kael.

I hold his hand and pleaded na dalhin niya si Sapira sa Ospital.

He nodded and in a cue, black men arrived to carry Sapphire out of that dangerous place.

Nauna naring umalis ang grupo ni Syrene. Sumama naman si Missy sa pag-alalay kay Sapira. While Yera walked away on her own. I know I hurt her. But it's for her own good.

Now, Kael and I were here. Standing in the middle of the moonlit.

Lumingon-lingon ako at sinubukang hagilapin kung nasaan si Trevor. But I cannot found him anymore.

"He left upon saving you," Kael stated.

I looked at him and nodded. "Hm."

"You're lucky enough na nakaligtas kayo mula rito. But that doesn't mean na sa susunod na giyera ay makaliligtas parin kayo," he swept off my hand from him. Hindi ko pa pala binibitawan ang kamay niya.

Tinalikuran niya ako at muling nagsalita.

"Do not overwhelmed yourself, Magdalene. Think before you act. You are just putting yourself in danger." And he left me behind.

Napabuga ako sa hangin. Hindi ko siya maintindihan. Ang bawat bigkasin nitong mga salita para sa'kin ay mistulang malalim na palaisipan.

Bumalik ako sa kasalukuyan nang makarinig ng kaluskos mula sa labas ng clinic.

Maingat kong ibinaba ang kamay ni Sapira at dahan-dahang naglakad patungo sa pinto.

I deeply inhaled as I opened the door. My eyes widened a bit as I saw the man I eagerly wanted to see. I smiled at him but his emotionless reaction remained.
