Y/N is far from a normal twenty something year old working her way through life in New York City. She's a twenty something year old engaged to Elizabeth Chase Olsen in New York City now. She's been through a break, started working on herself, went t...
Y/N POV Since Rose isn't here to come taste cake with us, David is going to come with us instead. I'm kind of happy he is so we can continue to get to know each other. I can tell Lizzie is stressed now that she realized we still have to get wedding bands on top of other random things we have to figure out. Like the schedule of events and a damn officiant. I wrap my arm around her lower back as we walk into the bakery and smile at David who holds the door open for us.
"Hello, Ms. Olsen. Thank you so much for coming in. We have a bunch of cakes for taste testing and we can talk about the decorations as well." The host greets cutting right to the chase which Lizzie appreciates.
"Yes thank you, let's get started." She nods and we follow the host ot the table with mini cakes.
"So we have spiced pear with salted caramel icing, Banana coconut mocha, dark chocolate with berries, strawberry and pink peppercorns, ginger and passion fruit, hazelnut with chocolate buttercream, and of course vanilla with vanilla buttercream. Here is a lemon cake with raspberries and strawberries and white chocolate cake with cranberries." She explains and points out each flavor. I look over to David and give him a confused look. What the fuck are these flavors? He laughs into his hand and I let Lizzie try a couple.
"Do you have funfetti?" I ask and Lizzie nudges my ribs.
"Of course we do, that one is actually quite popular." The host respond and I smile smugly at Lizzie. I lean forward and try out a couple flavors once David also starts trying some and we keep passing the vanilla cake back and forth between us. When they bring out the funfetti I grin and start eating that one too.
"You two are annoying. Can you try other ones?" Lizzie requests and I sigh. I open my mouth and Lizzie smiles while she shovels in a lemon cake.
"Wait that's actually good." I tell her and she gives me an I told you so look. "But I still want Vanilla or funfetti." I tease and she huffs.
"I like the lemon and the pear ones." She shares and I scrunch my nose in disgust.
"Lizzie, those are kind of out there, Lemon is good, but the pear one? No one will eat it and then you'll be stuck with a bunch of cake." David explains and I nod in agreement.
"It is possible to chose a couple flavors. Each tier can be a different cake while the frosting is the same buttercream throughout." The host offers.
"Oh, well how many tiers are we doing?" I ask Lizzie and she shrugs.
"I'll get a catalog so we can look at some designs and decorations. That may help." The host decides and walks away.
"Hey, I love you." I remind her when I see the gears turning in her head. She sighs and looks over to me.
"I love you too." She returns and leans over to kiss my cheek. When we get the catalog we start to thumb through until we find pink or champagne colored decorations. We pick a few each and try to eliminate until we decide on one.
