Y/N POV
"Not gonna lie, I stole the scene." I tease as we finally watch Sorry for Your Loss Season 3. Lizzie let me watch it while she types up the general schedule for the week of our wedding to make sure we haven't forgot about anything. She asks for my input here and there but otherwise she ignores what's happening on screen."You were great babe." She responds and I look over to see her amused smirk.
I look back to the screens to continue watching and scrunch my nose. "Nasty." I mumble and notice she looks up from her task from the corner of my eye.
"Who am I marrying?" She asks in reply when she sees a scene of her making out with Danny.
"Me. Still nasty." I tease and she laughs lightly. I watch as she hums in thought and force myself to turn my attention back to the screen. Who knows when I'll be able to watch this again when all I want to do is be with her. I jump and pause the show when my phone rings. "It's MK." I tell her and she hums in reply.
Me: Hello?
MK: Hey sis, the billboard is going up today.
Me: What billboard?
MK: The one of you. Wait, did we not tell you last week?
Me: Nope. Where is it?
MK: Somewhere in Soho
Me: Lit. Is that all?
MK: Yup pretty much. How's wedding planning going?
Me: Pretty good, just figuring out loose ends this week.
MK: Awesome. Let us know if you need anything.
Me: Will do, bye bye
MK: Bye bye
I smile as I end the call and notice Lizzie's soft gaze on me, so I pause my action of pressing play. "Yes?" I question when she doesn't say anything and continues to observe me with her cute little grin.
"A billboard? And you just said Lit?" She points out and I shrug.
"It's a part of my contract. Whatever." I reply and return her small smile. She leans over and pecks my lips softly before going back to her tasks. I press play and continue my binge watch while petting the sleeping pup that's cuddled in my lap. I pause it again though when a random thought pops into my head that I don't particularly like. "You know how you said you and Robbie called it off because you didn't have the same plans for the future?" I ask and she looks up to shoot me a confused look.
"Uh I guess so?" She offers and leans back to give me her full attention.
"Do you mind me asking specifically what it was?" I ask carefully. It's always been at the back of my mind especially in times of insecurity when I realize how different we can be and how we don't always want the same things.
"He uh. He didn't want kids." She reveals and my eyebrows shoot up in surprise.
"Oh. Wow. Is that why your sisters asked if I wanted kids when we first met?" I clarify and she nods.
"Yeah, they were afraid I would fall for someone that didn't want the same things as me again. I thought I was okay with it, but I wasn't. It sucked. A lot." She sighs and combs her fingers through her hair before flipping it to one side. It's still blonde and I briefly wonder what color she's dying it next. He must be the reason she was on birth control, on top of not wanting any surprises while she's so busy.
"I want kids." I remind her and she smiles widely.
"I know you do." She confirms.
"I'm sorry that you loved someone that couldn't give you everything you wanted." I say softly and she rubs at her eyebrow before looking back into my eyes.
