Treehouse in Melancholy Woods
Third Person's POV
Alio climbed the ladder up to the treehouse, and was the last one behind Tui, La, and Naomi.
"So, is anything coming back to you guys?" asked Naomi.
La shook her head and Tui did, too.
Alio stood up. "I, uh... have an idea? If it doesn't work, then don't attack me for it. But, firstly, do you believe in chakras, energies, the power of belief, or anything like that?"
Naomi had a confused look on her face.
Tui looked at La and shrugged her shoulders. But La shook her head.
"Well, then, again, don't attack me if it doesn't work."
Alio looked at the center of their foreheads, like he was trying to spot something. The three girls were all confused. But then he roughly tapped a finger on the center of their foreheads. La just flinched since she wasn't expecting that, and rubbed the spot he hit since it hurt a little. Tui looked a bit shocked.
"What was that for?" La asked. "What were you trying to do?"
Alio blinked. "It didn't work? Dammit. One of my younger sisters, Talia, is becoming this spiritual weirdo, and said that's a thing you can do to open your third eye. It totally worked with her twin sister Tala and my younger brother Camilo. I wasn't sure if it would work with remembering stuff, but I still wanted to try it out-"
Naomi flicked the side of his head. "Dingus, Talia's 8-years-old, what would she know about spiritual anything?"
"Ow-"
La rested her arm by her side, then felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked to her right, seeing Tui, but she looked fearful.
"Tui? What's wrong?" La asked, looking at Tui with a concerned expression.
Naomi and Alio looked at her as well.
"...I remember," Tui muttered. "I remember what happened."
Alio, La, and Naomi all looked a bit surprised.

Morning Shine Orphanage
Norwood, Maine
The children in the orphanage had finished eating a delicious dinner. All 38 of kids, most younger than others, were standing by the front door, keeping a smile on their faces, albeit feeling sad and upset, hiding those feelings behind a smile.
They were feeling this way because two of the oldest orphans in the orphanage were about to leave, since they were getting adopted into a new family.
A girl with long, dark, brown hair, and brown eyes, who had light skin and was wearing glasses with black rims. She was fourteen-going-on-fifteen.
She was smiling.
The girl next to her, although just an inch shorter than her, looked very similar to her. She had short, dark, brown hair, which was in a pixie cut, and she had hazel eyes. She didn't have glasses, but had freckles. She was fourteen-going-on-fifteen, as well.
"Everyone, say goodbye to Akari and Tsuki," one of the orphan caregiver/house mother, Malina, said with a warm smile on her face. She scratched at the bandage wrapped around her neck.
"Don't get sick, okay?" said one of the younger children.
"Good luck!" a young boy said with a smile.
